Looks like not everyone is part of the Beyhive.
With Marvin Gaye's 80s biopic getting ready to film in 2013, Marvin Gaye III and the rest of the Gaye family are having a hard time with Lenny Kravitz playing the legend, and they're doing anything they can to STOP the production… including taking legal action!!!
"The producers and directors of this film are very wrong and shameful… [They're] trying to do a film about a low period in his life. They don't even know the whole story. I would hope [Lenny] doesn't have any idea that we are against this film being done."
But it's not so much that Marvin's family is against Lenny playing the role, it's just that they don't want the film to even be produced.
Now, to try to put an end to a flick that would demonstrate a hard time in the icon's life, his kin is meeting with lawyers, but Marvin Jr. is also talking to Kravitz about "why he would do this."
Sadly, the musician has yet to say anything about his role in the movie, but let's just hope he doesn't do something he'll regret in the future.
We wouldn't want a film that was meant to honor the late idol to turn into a disastrous brawl!!
