Bon Jovi Blames Himself For Daughter's Heroin OD
This whole thing is so sad!
Jon Bon Jovi and his family were devastated by his 19-year-old daughter's recent near-death experience with heroin.
The rocker has perviously spoken out about Stephanie Rose Bongiovi's heroin overdose, but in a recent interview Bon Jovi revealed that he blames HIMSELF for Stephanie's "sudden and steep decline."
"I didn't have any sisters . . . There was no manual. So you bring her up the best you can, you surround her with hugs and kisses and know that she may eventually fall down."
But, it sounds like there is not much he could have done. The sad dad confesses he didn't see this coming at all, telling reporters:
"I'm shocked as much as the next parent with this situation and had no idea. But then you surround them with best help and love and move on, and that's where we're at with it."
Hopefully the best help includes rehab!
To stop this from happening agin she needs to get those horrible chemicals out of system for good!

The problem is you can't completely shelter your child. The best you can do is educate as best you can, but they are gonna make their own mistakes. Drugs like heroin and opiates in general are massively addictive. People become addicted very quickly, I've seen it time and time again. People who don't drink or smoke get hurt, then are prescribed pills and quickly go off the deep end.
Where does he blame himself? What leap in logic did you subscribe to?

Where does it say he blames himself? It sounds to me like he is saying he did the best he could, but your child's decisions are up to them.
She dodged her own bullet. Bad decisions have bad consequences.
He blames himself because he was on the road doing concerts, he feels he wasn' there for her enough. Most parents blame themselves when the kids screw up. Jon fired anyone who did drugs in his band. He didnt do drugs so she sure didn;t get it from him. Such a shame. She probably has had everything she wanted and then some. He pays her way to college and rfor everything else and she repays him by doing heroin..maybe he will see she needs rehab and to be cut off for a while. She is spolied.
I liked him better when he was hairier all over and had Balayage highlights.
