Chicago Fire's Fake Plane Crash Fools Local News Anchors

HA!

Chicago's WGN-Channel 9 news anchors were SHOCKED when their traffic helicopter picked up footage of an airplane crash in the middle of a busy road.

Little did they know… the "crash" was merely a set piece for an upcoming episode of NBC's new drama Chicago Fire!

Ch-ch-check out the confusing news report (above)!

Obvi the best part of the video is when they find out they've been duped.

The anchors actually seem PISSED that a crash didn't take place!

So much for that local Emmy… LOLz!

If you knew ONE THING about Larry & Robin (the news anchors) you would know they were NOT pissed the crash didn't happen. They are fabulous at sarcasm and dry wit. Something you know nothing about.

news shows thrive on drama, accidents, crime, and everything in between. of course they were getting all excited, but baw baw… ! people like to think 'oh how horrible an accident occurred' but people like the frenzy, the drama, because people's lives are boring.

They weren't pissed. Really they do a great show, and didn't hesitate to poke fun at themselves over this, in real time (listen for the "wah-wah-wahhhhh" trombone sound effect, and then for the they show clip at about 1:45 of this version:
