What the hell?!
Unfortunately, Shia was left with one horrible experience. He says he was raped.

Okay, let's get real here, folks.
We all knew this was only a matter of time!
In fact, we're pretty sure there's certain Twi-Hards out there who aren't KICKING themselves for not thinking of this first!
But yes, a Las Vegas woman named Lauren Adkins has reportedly raised $1,235 on the crowdfunding website indiegogo to pay for her upcoming WEDDING ceremony to a cardboard cut-out of Robert Pattinson's character in Twilight, Edward Cullen!
Now, before you explode into a thousand tiny sparkles of rage, jealousy, or any other emotion that may come be seeping through you right now, get this: it's all part of a performance art installation for her MFA thesis, as her focus of study is on ideas of love perpetuated through pop culture and how they affect our own expectations!
This work focuses on the female escapist fantasy in its most popular forms-primarily finding "true love"-and the extent to which it seeps into our real lives. I've looked at this fantasy primarily through a pop cultural lens; that is I've used film & television's representations of the love story and female characters in general in an attempt to understand my own expectations of romantic love. Because of personal attachment to and experience with this fantasy or quest, which took a particularly strong hold of me when I discovered the intensely popular Twilight Saga, my thesis exhibition will touch on romantic expectation primarily through the main love interest, Edward Cullen.
VERY inneresting, wouldn't you say?!
Well - inneresting enough for people to actually contribute financially to this "study" - which, to be fair, will all be going to items that one would find at ANY legitimate wedding ceremony!
ceremony and minister fee
rings (his & hers)
tables and chairs
food & drink
candles and centerpieces
photographic prints and framing
adhesive vinyl lettering for exhibition title
And just in case there are any Twi-Hards out there who might protest this woman getting to marry her Edward cut-out before they can, we unfortunately have to let you know that the ceremony, which will be held at Viva Las Vegas Chapel on January 26th, 2013, is invitation-only!
But don't worry! The exhibition's reception is open to the public, so you can drown your sorrows there! OR, if you can't make it to Sin City, you'll be able to watch it live on the internet!
WELL. We think we know what WE'LL be doing that night!
Now excuse us! We have to go try to find out where Lauren and her sparkling cardboard betrothed are registered so we can get them a wedding gift!
Congratulations, you two! LOLz!
