No Daughter For Cory And Topanga! Boy Meets World Sequel Casting Troubles

What’s Girl Meets World without a girl?!

With the exciting Boy Meets World sequel in the works, it looks like things have hit a snag as Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel can't seem to find their daughter.

Hmm, we're available…maybe we should start rehearsing the lines!

We kid, we kid. Anyway, it's not like they're NOT looking! Ben revealed:

“There have been a few names tossed around. We're meeting with girls and auditioning and that whole process. You know, we're slowly trying to find the perfect girl.”

Yikes! With shooting for the Disney Channel show beginning in February, they better not work too slowly.

The lucky girl will play the teenage daughter of Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence, who have apparently avoided the Hollywood divorce curse. LOLz!

But this hasn’t been the only difficult casting news our beloved TGIF show has dealt with as Rider Strong recently revealed that he wouldn’t be a regular on the show as Shawn Hunter.

We're still getting over that one!

Despite all the casting issues going on, at the end of the day, Ben is going to make it work! He said:

“I think that everyone associated with the show wanted to make sure that if we were to come back, that we weren't going to do it in a way that was going to be a disservice to the show. No one wanted to really cash in, if you will, too early, or no one really wanted to do something that was going to be cheesy. So when we all decided to get together for this, there were a lot of discussions. I mean, this has been going on for months in an unofficial way.”

We hope they find someone by the time we finish our Boy Meets World marathon!
