Rumor has it that One Direction — the band who makes little ladies (and boys!) squeal in premature ecstacy — have said NO to being the face of a safe sex campaign cause they think it would be inappropriate due to the young age of their fans!
"The offer was enormous and even tied into a safe sex organisation in the US. It came from one of the biggest brands in the world. While the boys didn’t sneer at the money, they felt their fans were slightly too young for this type of project. They are promoting dolls and games, so that is the age group who are buying their products. The boys remain very candid about supporting the use of condoms if asked in interviews."
Hmm… we wonder if the Trojan Man wanted them to tote their products? Or perhaps Durex was luring them in? HA!
Apparently, Liam Payne has even voiced his apprehension concerning the band promoting condoms, and has been quoted as saying:
"I wouldn’t like to endorse condoms because of the jokes that would be made."
HA! Well, that's hesitation based on a VERY different reason!
But if this rumor IS true, then we totally understand the boys' decision to not be the FACE of a safe sex campaign.
One Direction are obviously PRO condom use and totally believe in safe sex practices as they've talked about it before, but it's one thing to support something and completely another to use your image to promote a whole idea.
But remember kiddies… if you are gonna engage in sexy acts, slip on a GD condom! It's infinitely easer than getting preggers or having your intimate parts getting infested with disease!
