Justin Bieber BACKED By Simon Cowell Amidst Grammy Snub Controversy!!

justin bieber selena gomez simon cowell grammy snub

Grammy nod or not, Justin Bieber can still party like it's 3012 tonight!

And that's because Simon Cowell — one of the toughest critics around — has publicly given his disapproval of the Recording Academy's snub.

Following The Biebs' manager's rant, Simon chimed in by saying:

"You know what? He deserved one, I think. But they can get a bit snobby sometimes. He won't be crying too much [though]. He's doing fine."

Riight??

We know it sucks, but Justin has a loooong road ahead of him.

And even though Believe was an excellent example of musical transition, we BELIEB the best is yet to come!

Ha! Sorry… we had to!

Controversy? The hell? The kid sucks, and given his manager's response I now know where Justin gets his immaturity from. Glad he didn't get a nomination, shows the Grammys have some taste.

If carly rae jepsens bullshit song "call me maybe" can get a nomination then he should have definitely had a couple noms. Lets be real here, they just blatantly shut him out. Contrary to belief, he does have talent!

  3. 3

For Simon money trumps talent every time. That is why he is pushing his boy band - he knows that hysterical 12 year old girls is where the money is - they don't just buy music, they buy t-shirts, binders, buttons, videos, anything with their heart throb on it. That means more money for Simon. As for Justin, I don't think he was snubbed, I think his music simply wasn't good enough. (I know there is still a lot of fluff nominations for the Grammy's but at least they got this one right.)

  4. 4

so he didnt get a nom. big deal. lots of people didnt but you dont hear their managers bitching about it. move on and try again next year.

What does Simon Cowell know about music. He's the guy that rejected Jennifer Hudson and amber Really for god sakes. He's more of a reality show act then anything else. Plus the grammy has a history of not like teen acts. N'sync and the backstreet boys never won a grammy

I feel pity for people who still hate on JUSTIN BIEBER. I don't know why a person who puts so much of hardwork doesnt get recognized and thats realy not respectful . Not only justins team and his beliebers couldn take this even others for instance simon because his album believe is full of hardwork and dedication . And i believe justin has a long way to go and he will achieve a lot more in future . HARDWORK WILL PAY OFF SOON !!! BLESS YOU JUSTIN !!!

  7. 7

Re: truth – The awards are not for hard-work, they are for good music. Maybe they should add a 'tried the hardest' category.

Justin not receiving a Grammy Nomination is criminal….some of those Judges are out of touch and need to retire. For Biebs not to have even gotten a NOMINATION shows that something is wrong with the academy of voters…it's obvious he's a crowd favorite, and even those who don't want to like him, old and young..are bumpin' to his songs. That's the sign of a TRUE artist with talent…his music transcends ALL boundaries…even ignorance. Time will vindicate him…mark my words..

Re: rosebud99 – I very well know that the award is not for hardwork category but i mean to say with so much of hardwork and dedication the outcome of his album is a proof that his songs are liked worlwide as in even haters have been converted to justins music lovers so it should have been recognized because if a song like call me may be is being nominated then justin should have been nominated.

  12. 12

He didn't deserve a nom, but then again - so didn't majority of the people that got nominated

  13. 13

well we all know that Simons taste in music is disgusting so nobodies surprised. He has no clue about edgy, current or credible music. Just bland generic pop dross.

  14. 14

and hopefully his deluded manger has now pissed off the Grammy people and ensured he never ever gets a nom! He needs to remember that its people in the music business who choose these noms….not stupid little rabid girls who always try to fix it for Bieber to win everything by voting obsessively over and over!

  15. 15

The noms shouldn't be about popularity, so the biebs doesn't get a free pass. we all know simon just cares about raking in the cash.

  16. @v@ says – reply to this

    16

What, do they figure he's making maximum saturation money, so they want to turn the cash cow spotlight on somebody else? These shows obviously aren't about creative/musical excellence these days.

  17. 17

Madonna - the biggest female music star of the 80's and the highest selling female artist worldwide ever didn't get a grammy nomination until her Bedtime Stories album in 1994. She didn't actually win a Grammy award until 1999 after her Ray Of Light album came out. The Grammy awards matter in some form - but they certainly don't determine who's big in the music industry that's for sure. The Grammys are indeed very fickle. If The Grammy's really were all about artistic albums, Tori Amos would have won one years ago. But since she's not mainstream I guess she doesn't count. Then again, Tori Amos probably doesn't even submit her work for consideration to the Grammy's because she probably doesn't care about it.

  20. Real stuff says – reply to this

    20

Re: truth – Exactly, but he does get notice but not for all the hard work he's done. The haters don't know how hard it is. He has done so much and haters don't know like haters said "He will only last a couple of years." Really he sold out a madison square garden concert under 20 seconds and is now the MSG king. His album believe was on the billboards for weeks. And also his fans are not young girls anymore, if you have went to a concert you would see 16-26 year old girls/woman and i saw actually a few men by themselfs.

  21. 21

Why is everyone making a big deal out of this? Did really people think that Justin Bieber deserved a Grammy nomination? His music is light and it's not strong enough. I don't know why he got two nominations two years ago because it really didn't make any sense. Yes, the Grammys have become stupid and lost its credibility over the years. I don't even know why they nominated Carly Rae Jepsen. His over-obsessed fans are just pressed at the fact that he didn't get one, like he's supposed to get nominated for every award out there. What artistic value does Justin Bieber contribute to the Grammys? Absolutely nothing.

  22. TK says – reply to this

    22

Re: Lasqueesha – i agree. His fans are way to obsessive and delusional to the fact that there are artists out there that deserve it as well! Justin cant win everything! His little girl fans need to understand that

  23. LAuren says – reply to this

    23

Re: truth – and the other artists did not work hard? Your so delusional. And I agree its not about "hard work" it's about good music. Justin's music is weak nothing special. If they had a "tries so hard" category he would for sure win. He's starting to get annoying in my opinion.

Mariah Carey has 37 grammy nominations (the most for an artist) and has only won 5 times and she is one of the greatests female artist of ALL TIME. you don't see her bitching. Whitney Houston also only has 6, Rod Stewart only 1. Justin don't deserve even a nomination but then again most who do get nominated don't.

  25. Christy says – reply to this

    25

It bothers me when Justins fans say we "hate" on justin but yet when Carly Rose sang his song on the xfactor they went ballistic and started calling her a "slut" and saying she does not have any talent… and that is not hate? you little girls are the biggest hypocrites. Get over yourselves. Justin sucks and i dont think a little girls opinion even matters because they do not love him for his music but for his looks. im so happy he did not get a grammy. Hopefully it stays that way for as long as possible

  26. 26

He should just let it go and try again next year. There are better ways to get a Grammy nomination then by throwing a temper tantrum.

    28

I think Justin definitely deservered at least a nomination, if not a grammy. I really believe that Justin stands for what real music should be all about. He is constantly showing that he is a tatented, hardworking, kind, and humble kid with a hell of a lot of determination. All those great qualities are sadly covered up in the eyes of his haters that can't see past his teen heart throb image. I find it funny how people who know the least about him have the most to say. In other words, people who don't take the time to actually listen to more than one of his songs, and share ignarant opinions. But even through your doubts I'm sure the kid will prove you all wrong.

  29. Joseph A says – reply to this

    29

The kid sings a version of pop that is popular , but the songs will not last ,
He gets to make some money , but the Grammy is not just about did you sell the most copies or get the most spins , its also about quality

  30. 30

Grammys are for artists whose music will last throughout the test of time. I highly doubt a 16 year old girl now in 30 years, when she's 46, will be listening to Justin Bieber. His music is too pop and not that GOOD. There are plenty of REAL artists out there who haven't been nominated for Grammys.

Re: logic – I disagree. Do you know who is on the Grammy board? It is writers, producers, performing artists, etc. The people who actually are in the 'music business' are the 'grammy board.' They are the voters. They are not 'fans'… they are in the business of making music. So, at the end of the day, all of these people work hard. Do they care about who is 'kind, humble' etc.? No. It is not about that. It is about … THE MUSIC. And honestly, Justin's music is not deserving. It is not about "he put out a great album, he has a sold out tours, he works really hard…" So does every other music person out there. Scooter's comments were stupid. They were made in the huff of the moment.

    Re: logic – How old r u? 17? geRe: fancypants66
I must agree with Fancypants66. All you "beliebers" are saying that "he worked hard, sold out tours and sold millions of copies of his music" but to who? A bunch of little girls who cannot see past his looks. So its very funny that you say WE cannot see past his looks when it is really you who can not. His music is plain, nothing special and surely not worth a grammy. He got lucky by targeting such a young audience but in the end they are not the ones who choose the nominees PROFESSIONALS are, people who have been in the business for many years…

Re: Real stuff – Why do you keep saying haters? grow up. No one is hating on him, just stating the obvious. If he came out with a soulful song and actually put effort into his music instead of releasing an album every couple of months then maybe he will be nominated but for now his music lacks and he needs to step it up

He performed at the Grey Cup in Toronto and what do u think happened? HE WAS BOOED AT, y? because the stadium was filled with MEN not little girls which goes to show he will never be like michael jackson or elvis because they had fans that were of both genders not just little girls… WAKE UP

Why can't people appriciate good things? This kid is trying to be the best and you guys are discouraging him… For the fact that he has been through alot when he was a kid, i think he deserves more than 10 grammys. Don't worry justin, there is a reason why you aren't nominated for this award, because something big is coming your way… I'M PROUD TO BE A BELIEBER…

Who wants to listen to Simon. Simon is so desperate to get attentions from 12 years old kids. He will say anything good about Bieber knowing that his fans will watch his show. Simon will do anything to boost his X-factor show including pawning his taste in music and kiss Bieb's ass. Desperately seeking Simon. It's time for Simon to pack his luggage and back to the place where he belongs.

So what if he wasn't nominated? For every person nominated someone else is left off the list. I see someone made a crack about Carly Rae Jepson - new artist, completely different category — no point of comparison in my opinion. I will also point out that popular doesn't always equate to "critical acclaim". In some cases I would think that an artist would cringe if "critically acclaimed" was the first phrase used to describe their project because it can mean that no one likes it but the judges. It's like when you see the words "cozy" or "charming" in a real estate listing - code for "tiny fixer upper".
