Well, December 7th has come and gone!
Is anyone else wondering if the long-anticipated feud between One Direction and The Wanted actually resulted in a LEGIT showdown?!
As we reported, it all started earlier in November when Zayn Malik and Max George started going tit-for-tat on Twitter, and while The Wanted singer was clearly just being playful and silly, his rival Directioner went straight for the jugular, ultimately leading Thomas Parker and Louis Tomlinson to join in the sparring and the groups determined to settle the score once and for all when they appeared together at the Z100 Jingle Ball in NYC this weekend!
However, as George and Jay McGuinness revealed on the red carpet, they don't want the bad blood to continue!
ESPECIALLY around the holidays!
Jay explained:
"It seemed to start as a joke. But then the tone got a little bit nasty, so I just like to see how they feel about it, because I didn't like what I read. I think it's probably best that we peace a little at Christmas. Peace and love at Christmas!"
And Max elaborated:
"I invited them for a beer a few months ago. But they didn't take me up on it. Hopefully we bump into them after the show."
Well, we're glad at least ONE side of this feud is ready to let bygones be bygones and move forward!
Who knows?!
Perhaps one day we'll see them all friends, performing in a NKOTBSB-esque super-group!
