    In the USA you have to have a whole every year if you are a pilot.
    Again no, there aren't expiration on planes.. they haven't changed a whole lot. There ARE requirements they be checked every year by an official.

    So no, you are wrong.. but then again who knows what they allow in Mexico as compared to here. I do know our family is in the business of checking plane crashes and they happen often enough.

    i think the real disgusting thing is how quick some of you are to name call and insult. if you don't like him as a person don't read his shit, simple as that. and i am in the aviation industry and statistically, pilot error is the most common cause of crashes. plain and simple. and actually commercially in the US, pilots have mandatory retirement age of 65. And there's a reason for that. I understand the economy is bad and flying gets in your blood but an 80 year old man should not be flying an aircraft with other souls on board.

    I don't know if they should of forced him to retire because I do know of many 70 and above year olds who are still very competent mentally. I will say that once you hit a certain age or maybe at any age, pilots should have to take yearly tests to prove that they are still competent and can keep their licenses. Of course if it was a privately owned plane and this man said he has his pilot license, what could they have done to prove otherwise.
