X Factor's Emblem3 Gets Compared To The Beatles With Semifinals Performance!
As hosts Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez kept reminding us last night, we are only ONE week away from the X Factor finale!
The final four came armed with two songs each, for what could’ve been their last time performing on the show!
Simon Cowell’s broband trio, Emblem3, performed Peter Frampton’s Baby I Love Your Way and then took a risk with the Beatles’ Hey Jude!
Check out their rendition of the Beatles’ classic (above)!!
Wow! While we’d have to agree with L.A. that the boys are indeed heading into heartthrob territory, it is a bit too early for the comparisons to the legendary group!
We do have to give the guys props for throwing their signature swag on the song, instead of trying to live up to the fab four!
Could this performance send Emblem3 to the finale next week? Tune in tonight at 8pm to find out who makes the cut!

The only comparison to the Beatles was the screaming girls. But it seems that girls will scream for anything - so it doesn't mean much. Wasn't bad though.
These guys should stick to the California sound that got them there.. Sublime, The dirty heads etc… that's their sound. They should have sang their original from the audition again last night. The problem is Simon wants his next one direction.
THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Beatles were not heartthrobs. They were musicians who worked their butts out for years before knowing any success.
Re: overthere – ummm, correction, they were heart throbs first then DEVELOPED into great musicians. It was the thier looks and style that caught on first then the great writing, singing followed.
So funny though…Perez a year ago put IM5 in the top ten all time boy bands. This greatly showsed his "musical" opinion. He has zero knowledge of great music. He's all about flash and the latest cool teeny bop song.
Re: tempe – I disagree. They worked their butts off for years in relative obscurity before being heart throbs.
The Fox news of talent shows.
I think they r great there are no where near one direction or trying to be them. If u go on to YouTube and listen to original song they have a total different styles then one direction. They are not some bubble gum pop ban.the only reason why they seem that way is because of Simon cow ell trying to find Americas next biggest band. But that is not who they are.
The blonde dude is a camera hog..he never lets the other 2 say a word..and he is always trying to get in front of the camera and nudge the other 2 out of the way..the brothers seem humble..the blond seems like a dick..he is gonna kill it for them before they even get started.
Beatles? Oh, please.
Re: tempe – Wrong. They used to play eight hours nearly every night in Hamburg. Their musicianship was top-notch when they got signed. Their songwriting improved, but "Please, Please Me" and "I Saw Her Standing There" were some of their first recordings and weren't too shabby.
Re: VinnyD – I totally agree, I should have said that when they first broke thier music was overshadowed for awhile by their looks etc.
You are correct
Re: VinnyD – I remember seeing them on the Ed Sullivan show a long time ago, thing it was their debut. Pretty sure they sang I Want To Hold Your Hand.
Re: rosebud99 – I agree!! The Beatles paid their due for years in Liverpool and Hamburg before making it big.
What an absolute joke. No comparison what so ever!!! The Beatles were great musicans and songwriters. It doesn't get better than Lennon/McCartney!!! It would take years for this trio to come near their talent.
In another posting, I was reprimanded for misspelling the Fab Four's name, The Beatles.
Yes, I know how to correctly spell their name, and in addition, I have all their albums, and this song, "Hey Jude" is one of my favorites. As a babyboomer, let me say this much, the music of today cannot ever compare with the sound of the British Invasion, nor live up to its standards. Emblem 3 will NEVER EVER be like THE BEATLES!!!!!
