Anyone who has ever wondered what happened to that adorable kid from Finding Neverland and Tim Burton's Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is about to get one HELLUVA rude awakening!
Because apparently, he grows up to be the serial killer Norman Bates in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho!
But in the upcoming A&E prequel mini-series, Bates Motel, the now-very-grown-up Freddie Highmore takes on the role made famous by Anthony Perkins as a teenager, with Vera Farmiga portraying his eventually-very-skeletal mother!
Apparently, the new re-telling will focus on the young serial killer's psyche and how his backstory turned him into for what he's most known cinematically…and we don't know about you, but we seriously CANNOT WAIT to see this!
Seriously! With so much talent working on expanding upon such an iconic story, we just KNOW it's going to SLAY!
No pun intended there! LOLz!
Don't believe us? Check out a brand new featurette on the production (above) and tell us you don't have chills!
We dare you!
