Mr. Smith Affleck went to Washington today to testify before the House Armed Services Committee about the security in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The Argo star/director founded the Eastern Congo Initiative to raise money for the struggling African nation, one of the ways in which they do that is to sell chocolate bars at Whole Foods!

No kidding. Why do people think we have so much money to give to other countries. Stop all foreign aid for twenty years and then after our debt is under control start again. We are going to end up bankrupt if we don't start pouring money into other countries. Are countries going to help up then?????

Well, I do not know about the rest of you. I have to live on Social Security and a small pension (actually a withdrawal from my IRA, when it runs out of money I have to die or move into a a shelter). Anyway I do not have a lot of money but try and give $10 per month to one or two local homeless shelters and also once in awhile to Habitat for Humanity.
