GAH! And to think!

If the release date hadn't been delayed adjusted, we'd soon be experience the wonder, glitz and glam of the roaring '20s when Christmas rolled around next week!

Alas!

Instead this holiday season, we're only receiving the SECOND full trailer for Baz Luhrmann's new flick, the 3D adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, now set for a May 10th premiere!

But hey! Can't say we're too disappointed!

This movie looks absolutely TERRIFIC!

Ch-ch-check out the preview, featuring Leonardo DiCaprio in the title role, Tobey Maguire as Nick Carroway, and Carey Mulligan taking on Daisy Buchanan as they re-interpret the literary classic with the help of musical accompaniment from the likes of Kanye West, Jay-Z, Florence + The Machine and Filter (above)!

And LOOK! They've even fixed the spelling of Ziegfield's Follies!

IMPROVEMENTS have been made, folks!

This is DEFINITELY one that we cannot miss, regardless of when it finally hits theaters!

We have a very good feeling that one of our FAVORITE books will soon become one of our FAVORITE movies!

How about U?? Are U looking forward to The Great Gatsby?!

You do realize it HAS been made into a movie before!!! And that movie was VERY good and I have a feeling that this re-make won't be as good since the characters are being played by horrible actors… really Leonardo and Tobey?!?!?! Really REALLY bad choices but that's my opinion!!!

Now to talk about the music… why have Kayne West and all these terrible bands play music that is suppose to be made in the 1920"s!!!! Obviously this movie is NOT trying to win an Oscar since they pushed it back to May… we all know May movies hardly EVER get nominated

They may have fixed the spelling of Ziegfeld Follies. But you didn't Perez.

Re: ADRRe: ADRRe: ADR – You're absolutely right, it was made in the 70's, BEAUTIFUL, gorgeous film with great ACTORS:"just" Robert Redford, Mia Farrow, Bruce Dern and Karen Black…and why would they try to "remake" things ad nauseaum beats me…are there no more books, or novels to "remake"?? and do "journalists" NOT know these things??it's not like it was an unknown movie, Perez!!

Well I seldom watch remakes, but I think I will make an exception for this one, have always been a sucker for F. Scott Fitzgerald and cannot remember how many times I have read this book.

The casting of this movie is just not up to par, to me. Perhaps I've read the book too many times and can see it in my mind's eye, but Tobey Maguire? As our guide and eye that we are to trust in viewing the lifestyle and drama ahead? NO. Wrong Daisy as well. Mulligan is too young and just isn't up to snuff as a woman someone would obsess about and cause all the destruction. She's just not that beautifully destructive. Bad move. Leo, if he forgets himself, will do a great job. I hope so anyway. But somebody really messed up with the casting here. Ryan Gosling should be Nick. There's just no argument there.
