Mel C Reveals Some Surprising Spice Girls Drama… Ginger Wasn't The Only One To Quit!

Well, Perezcious readers, while the Mayans might not have been correct, we still have a revelation that will rock your Spice World!
Spice Girl Mel C recently opened up in an interview about the devastating time when Geri Halliwell left the group and shattered our hearts!
Of course we all know by now that Ginger Spice called it quits from the girls back in 1998… but Sporty says she left even earlier!!
"She'd left before but not publicly. I mean, I think a few of them had left, well, Mel B and Geri left a few times. I nearly got kicked out once as well, but that's another story."
Whoa there! You mean all the while we were slamming it to the right and spicing up our lives, there was this much dramz going on behind the scenes?!
Good thing we didn't know this all back then! We would've been even MORE crushed!
Mel C cited Geri's hot and cold relationship with Scary Spice as part of her reason for leaving, as well as other personal issues she'd been dealing with.
And while the ladies have recently been reunited with their musical, Viva Forever!, the song brings back some really tough memories for Ginger!
Geri confessed:
"Viva Forever is probably one of the saddest songs for me, because I remember when I was on stage with them and I kind of knew I'd had enough. We were sort of growing apart. Growing separately in certain ways I felt. And I could feel it."
Tears! Our hearts!
Ginger later admitted that she now understands why the girls were so upset over her departure, as they viewed it as losing a friend and not just a group mate.
At least now we can just hope for a reunion tour… that is, if they could pull it off without Posh!
