I'm not a fan of this dude….but….those calling for gun control or a gun band FIRST need to get rid of their security detail…them lets talk!!!!! Don't tell me what to do, while doing the exact opposite

  2. 2

Why is it every time you disagree with someone, you say they were on a rant?

  3. 3

    Go Jesse!!!

Sorry I sold most of my guns after my husband died but keep a pistol for protection. I do live in a security building in a working class neighborhood that has occasional gang problems (not near where I live) and from time to time strangers get into the building. Last March some strange man walked into my apartment

I still keep a pistol even though I live in a security building in a working class neighborhood. Some strange man walked into my apartment last March (was doing laundry so the door was not locked. fortunately he was just some old man who looked very confused. I have not seen him since, so may have walked into the wrong building but still scary to a solo female.

Gun control only affects those who follow the laws. Jesse makes a good point though, how many times have you heard of a massacre in the state of Texas? I can really only think of one, which was in 1966…

put a bullet in between his eyes. please.

Don't like Jesse James, but google fast and furious to understand 'why' we have the right to bear arms. Sometimes you need protection from your own.

this guy from NBC that gave the president of the NRA such a hard time, appears his children go to school with ELEVEN armed guards. these people are such hypocrites. Stand strong for the 2nd Amendment, its the only thing between you and this intrusive government.

Re: psnoksRe: Rose – obama calling for "gun control" while he and holder arm mexican drug cartels with high-powered weapons. don't be stupid people, stand strong on OUR 2nd amendment rights.

obviously texas is one big ass state so i'm sure you won't see everything jesse….

and i don't think the government is going to ban guns altogether. people, you don't need an assault rifle to hunt. it's just logical.

hmmmm tried to post a link in my above comment that had statistics on gun related deaths in texas vs. california but i guess this site wont let me post it.

Re: michael – Michael.. Where you get assault rifles are used for hunting is beyond me.. Where I'm from? They're used for recreation. And if need be? Protection.

  18. tygrlili says – reply to this

The horrid massacre of Newtown did for the Obama administration, what 'fast and furious' didn't… The horror of the deaths of children is being used to further Obama's 'vision'…

Thanks Jessie for standing up for the 2nd Amendment and the NRA, which is reporting that 8,000 people a day are now signing up to join. NRA is about the only thing that is standing up against rotten politicians that are looking to make a name for themselves.

Re: michael – the second amendment is not for hunting. It's for defense against a tyrannical government or whoever might impede your rights as a human being. Which is why the American people should have access to the same weapons the government has. Truth be told, an AR is one of the safest guns you can use for self defense. Fact being that the light weight bullet moving at around 3000 fps starts to fragment very quickly when hitting an object (person or wall). This cuts down on incidents of shooting through multiple walls or your neighbors walls and hurting innocent bystanders. Even the 9mm goes through more walls than a .223 round. FACT! Furthermore it is the bill of rights and not the bill of needs.

Re: michael – Michael, you lack any form of critical thinking skills. You with an AR-15 with a standard 30rd magazine is no different than me with two pistols that has standard 15rd magazines. Unless you're engaging a target at further than 150 meters a 9mm pistol or an AR-15 won't be too much of a difference.

Re: perez posse number 777 – Again, the 'posse' should just reply with, "i are smart".. English, little one, ENGLISH….. Mario must be so proud of his ignorant minions….

That's one greasy ignorant cracker right there

What celebrities and NRA-zealots don't understand is that just because it works in Texas doesn't mean it's going to work in other parts of the country (or world). Each state has its "culture," background, history, and uniqueness.

Furthermore, what I'm seeing from these people isn't helpful. It shows no ability to think critically. It usually consists of shouting, "GUNS DO NOT KILL PEOPLE, PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE" over and over and over again, then a lengthy, encyclopedia-like explanation of 2nd amendment rights. This is followed by the usual rhetoric: "Well, if someone wanted to kill others bad enough, they would have done it with or without guns."

So, in short, we hear this, "Yeah yeah, tragedy, whatever. Let me tell you why guns aren't part of the problem."

It's a lack of respect for the tragedy itself.
It's lack of acknowledgment that guns are the quickest and easiest method to exact violence.
It's misconceptions. (Example: all democrats want to "disarm America." Not true.)
It's constantly going on and on about gun laws, rhetoric and dogmatism.

Until the NRA zealots can shut the flaming fuck UP about the above and bring something tangible to the table (hello, solutions, suggestions), then politely excuse them from being a part of the discussion.

Be constructive in finding a solution (for example, closing loopholes at trade shows), or politely go fuck yourself.

Re: JungianQueen – This is literally a pot calling the kettle black scenario. Liberals are the first ones to take a tragedy and immediately turn it into a political agenda. So anti-gunners are the blame for that. That is the very first thing you hear before the bodies are even put into bags. Guns aren't necessarily the quickest and easiest way to cause violence. A kitchen knife is. One can make a bomb that can cause more damage than a gun easier and cheaper. An AR-15 goes for around $1200. So that statement is false. The problem is with anti-gunners is they absolutely REFUSE to acknowledge or blame anything else except the gun. Theres literally hundreds of variables. Mental illness, poor parenting, the media, violence on TV. People get way too influenced by things all of the time. Take for instance grown women, hopping on that 50 shades of grey crap. Women were so influenced by a crap book, they started trying bondage and buying the SAME exact sex toys used in the book. So is it really a stretch that some mentally off psychopath with bad parents that never taught him right from wrong, wasn't shown any attention to go onto watch violent movies, then watch the news and watches how the media makes the shooter famous then is influenced by that? People would rather blame an inanimate object, apparently that is somehow more rational than blaming the multiple other possible causes.

  29. 29

    Good for him. I agree.

  30. Leigh says – reply to this

Really don't understand some Americans and their love of guns. I'm from Scotland where there are strict gun laws. These gun laws were introduced after the school shooting in Dunblane where a man walked into a school and shot dead several children and their teachers. It took one incident to make people see that the laws need changed After a petition by the public the laws relating to gun were changed and security on schools got stricter to. How many mass shootings has happend in Scotland since then? Gun laws work if the public support them. It took one man walking into a school and taking innocent children's lives for the people of Scotland to do everything they could to stop it from happening again however in America it seems to happen over and over again but nothing seems to be done about it.

Re: Leigh – People shouldn't be making legislation base on emotions. Plus the UK records show that there isn't sufficant changes to overall homicide and violent crime rates before and after law. In other words the ban didn't do much of anything.

Re: NookiesWA – Lets not forget how they forget the arguments they made a month ago for legalizing marijuana including that the drug war is responsible for the high homicide. They forget about that when arguing for banning guns.

@bluephoenix - The 1991 Lubys incident in Texas led to the passage of the concealed hand gun law in Texas, which was championed by one of the surviving victims of the massacre…..Try harder!
