The "D" might be silent, but the Lee is not!
Much of the world is beyond excited to watch Quentin Tarantino's racially charged 19th Century epic Django Unchained this Christmas.
Spike Lee always did march to the beat of his own drum, LOLz!
On Twitter recently, he said:
American Slavery Was Not A Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western. It Was A Holocaust. My Ancestors Are Slaves.Stolen From Africa.I Will Honor Them.
— Spike Lee (@SpikeLee) December 22, 2012
We aren't sure how Spike knows the film is offensive without having seen it, but it's certainly his right to see Parental Guidance instead! And that's not be sarcastic — it actually looks pretty good! Worth everyone catching!
P.S. - Spike voiced displeasure with Quentin before, objecting to his (over)use of the N-word in his 1998 film Jackie Brown.
