Ummm….giant disappointment. And not shocking…she's an incredibly amateur singer

  6. 6

So overrated. Amanda Seyfried acted and sang wayyyyyy better. More beautiful too. Not that it metters.

  9. ASIANS CAN READ MINDS! says – reply to this

    9

    ASIANS CAN ACTUALLY READ MINDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they can hear, and see what your visually thinking
this is the absolute complete truth!!!!!
    .
The reason a lot of Asians have completely expressionless faces, segregate from everybody else-only associate with Asians and don’t associate with non Asians that much, are very untalkative, and are very unfriendly in general is to avoid accidentally revealing that they can read minds by accidentally showing a facial expression or dirty look when someone thinks, or visually pictures something in their mind they don’t like, find astonishing, or funny etc because those people might see that and really wonder what that was that just happened there and see the connection, and they might accidentally say something similar to what the person was just thinking and going to say. If they all associated with non Asians a lot more then there would be a lot more people around for them to accidentally show facial expressions when those people think things they don’t like etc, so they segregate and only associate with Asians so there won’t be anyone around for them to see that and have any accidents happen in the first place.

Try thinking, best yet visually picturing in your mind something absolutely wild as you possibly can when you are around Asians, and try looking for Asians who give people particular looks, especially dirty looks for what appears to be for completely no reason.
    .
I know this may sound crazy, impossible and unbelievable, BUT IT ISN’T CRAZY WHEN IT’S TRUE
    .
YOU HAVE TO SPREAD THE MESSAGE!!!!!!!
THE WORLD HAS TO KNOW THIS!!!!!!!

The only good thing about that movie was that she flashed her beaver while promoting it.

  12. 12

    She's has a huge ego.

By the way, this smells like a paid ad.

Such a pretty song way over done….it's like singing 101

Anne wasn't singing to be pretty, she was singing as a person who had truley hit rock bottom. This movie wasn't about being pretty like the musical on broadway, it was TRULEY acting through song. Anne didn't sound pretty because where she was in her life was not pretty. She had just had to go into prostitution, sell her hair and get her teeeth ripped out. Now sing pretty after that and there is something wrong there.

I think this was the most unbelievable acting. Everyone in this movie was superb.

Re: Coco – I agree. Amazing movie and amazing acting. It is authentic singing, and Anne did a great job. However… it is "truly", not "truley".

You must have REALLLYYY underestimated Hathaway's singing to say this is good singing. No offence to her, but as someone else said, something better was expected.

Relax home boys … this female KILLED it and left me in awe and with a broken heart. Give her some credit as a human being and as an actress.

You'd be lying if you said you didn't gasp for breath just once. Just once.

Saw it today!! It was INCREDIBLE!! I absolutely recommend it! Beautifully crafted film with very fine actors. What some of them may have lacked in vocal ability, they made up for in spades with brilliant acting!

Women are cheating all over the place, nowadays! (Leann Rimes, Coco/IceT, Kristen Stewart, Olympian Suzy Favor Hamilton, Rita Ora/Kardashian, Petraeus women).

My latest book, "I Steal Wives: A serial adulterer reveals the REAL reasons more and more 'happily married' women are cheating" is a powerful look at this EXPLOSIVE topic of female infidelity. Now in the top 1% of books on Amazon!

The book is the FIRST BOOK EVER WRITTEN on female infidelity from the FIRST-HAND, insider experience of a serial adulterer, who cheated with the wives/girlfriends of over 25 married men (and a few women)! "I Steal Wives" is a salacious, self-deprecating, and penetratingly insightful look into what is now the cutting-edge of relationships.

It's the relationship version of "How to Secure Your House, as told by a professional burglar!" This is no joke, the raw truths of “I Steal Wives” will forever change how you do relationships and understand women, especially if you are one!…at Amazon!

    Dear Anne,

Your voice has kindled a fire in me that will never be extinguished…
A fire that, for a while, almost went out.
    I just wanted to say
Thank you for making me feel alive again.

  25. 25

with just audio alone she doesnt sound so great. But with her visuals in the film its a very powerful performance. Much better than that jennifer hudson who got an oscar for just miming the performance in Dreamgirls. Anne will def win one too. Lets be honest, its a weak category this year :/

  26. 26

Re: Viko101010 – Amandas voice is awful. go read the reviews, she doesnt do well and is considered a weak link along with Crowe.

i dont know… i feel like the british accent is ruining it a bit because it's not very believable.

    28

I don't think she's going to win awards with this song alone. She has sufficiently killed a good song, and not in a good way. But I guess it could have been worse.

  29. 29

much more into amanda's voice and acting, she killed mama mia and KILLED les mis. really disappointed in anne but whatevz

  30. 30

    so tired of her

  31. 31

Re: geneva – what? even the bad reviews have heaped praise on her performance of this song. She gives it everything plus the kitchen sink. Its the standout piece of the film and a definite Oscar winner. I doubt youve even seen the film, jackass loser. Makes Hudson look like Lindsay lohan.

Can't wait to see the movie, was told some scenes were shot with live singing veruse lip synching to a track, that deserves a nomination

Re: Lasqueesha – I have seen the film, wasn't impressed with her. But I don't think Fantine is an easy role to take up. What's up with the name-calling, doll? Can't stand it that some people's opinion isn't the same as yours? Heard of this thing called respect? Aretha Franklin sang it.

I cannot wait to go see this movie. Her voice, the emotion…gave me chills just like you said Perez….I watched behind the scenes in Demand…all the actors were able to sing live while filming which has never been done before…so they can put the emotion in the song like it should be instead of going to a studio and filling in the singing…they are able to react and their songs are believable….such a great idea…Ann sounds beautiful and so sad….

  37. 37

Love her voice, I've always been a fan of her, she is truly talented, can sing and can act! This song gave me chills I am sure with the visual during the movie and her expression, it will bring me to tears

  38. 38

um she had proffesional opera training as a kid
she was originally cast as christine in the 2004 phantom of the opera movie, but she couldn't do it because she still was under contract to do the princess diaries 2

Thomas. I agree that Stanley`s report is impossible… on sunday I bought Chevrolet when I got my cheque for $6794 this - five weeks past and-just over, ten grand lass month. without a question it is the easiest-work I've ever had. I began this three months/ago and almost straight away was bringing home at least $76, per/hr. I went to this website,,

  40. 40

I thought this was going to be a tiiiny bit better. That being said she can sing WAY better than me, and she is a very talented and good lookin lady!

Is it her or is it Auto-Tune? It's hard to tell.

  42. 42

To the people complaining, notice that the version that she sings in all of the trailers is calmer, and edited. It's different than this one. This is the one she sings in the scene right after she is basically raped, and feels like dirty under everyone's feet. She is anguished, sobbing, lost, broken, and fearing for her child. She purposefully sang the song THIS way, to make that come across with every word. You can hear all of that emotion in every word in this version. Not to mention how powerful her facial expressions are while singing it, in the actual movie. This version is not meant to be good listening on a soundtrack. Go listen to the trailer and whine there. She did an amazing job. It was easily the best performance of the entire movie, and I do believe that she deserves to win any award that she is nominated for for it.

    Re: Viko101010
Please tell me you're joking. Anne Hathaway gave a spectacular performance, whereas Amanda was just good. Amanda didn't have any really memorable moments. I like them both, but Anne was so much better it was laughable.
