What? Was pretending like he couldn't save his life and fit on that Titanic door with Kate Winslet not brutal enough!?!
Leonardo DiCaprio has just opened up on the most disgusting part of his career. And surprise, surprise! It ain't pretty!
Playing vicious slave owner Calvin Candie in Quenton Tarantino's Django Unchained, Leo had to reach down to the most vile of human behavior.
And as he explains his trek, he kinda makes us sick too:
"He's the most deplorable human being I've ever read in a screenplay in my life. He's rotting from the inside. He was a young Louis XIV that was born into a world of entitlement and lived his life essentially owning other people and having his life dependent on other people’s lives. You have to play somebody that doesn’t even deem others as human. And you're working with other actors you respect, and you have to go in there and essentially cut them off and treat them as a subspecies to you. It was a very hard switch to make."
Ick! And knowing Quentin's work… that was just the tip of the iceberg!
Just watch this trailer and see!
But Leo's co-stars, Jamie Foxx and Samuel F. Jackson urged him to "go all the way" with it.
No wonder it's doing so well at the box office! Well that… and it's a Tarantino film. So everyone knows it's gonna be AMAZEBALLZ!!
