Matt Lauer And Ann Curry To Reconcile?! NBC Hopes So!

Even though Matt Lauer wasn't the one who got the boot, his image has suffered the most from Ann Curry's dismissal.

While Matt did earn $25 million this year, the money wasn't enough to ease the emotional pain and damage to his image.

Matt's image has been so tainted that NBC has begged him to take a public lunch with Ann Curry in hopes of mending his persona and upping Today's suffering ratings.

Matt is STILL being constantly heckled on the streets of New York because of his behavior toward Ann and NBC is becoming desperate to show a kind of public unity between the two!

Matt would probably be up for it, seeing as his job is on the line!! We wouldn't be surpised if Ann told NBC to f*^% off though!

Why should Ann help repair his image when he's the one that threw her under the bus? Matt has always had a stick up his butt and he wasn't too nice to Meredith either in the beginning, he threw her under the bus too.
Matt has become old, tired looking, balding, and annoying. Just like NBC claims that viewers like to see the women on the Today Show in heels without any grey hair showing, its time for the network to give the viewers what they want to see in a man and that is a man who is not balding and arrogant.

All of the NBC Today show are horrible, that goodbye to Ann was so insulting! No one did a thing, poor Ann was left to sit there and say goodbye, after so many years on the Today show, after watching that whole goodbye to Meredith less than a year earlier and then the pathetic goodbye they gave Ann, everyone on that show or associated with that show should be ashamed and embarassed. I have stopped watching the Today show and will not watch it again as long as Matt and Savanha are gone.

I would like to see Ann back on the show. Let Matt and Savanah do the show two days a week and Ann and a new co hot for her do the show three days a week. Then the next week Matt and Sacvanah would do the show three days and Ann and her new co host would do the show two days. See what happens to the ratings. Maybe Ann can help bring them back up. Give Ann and Matt the same salary and savanah and the new male co-host the same salary and see if your ratings increase. Matt is gone alot anyway so doing the show this way would only have him working five days in two weeks.

I thought Matt's new contract only called for 4 days a week. It is time for him to go. if they send Matt and Savannah packing they could let an have guest hosts for a week. Leave the basics the same but bring back the interaction with the public outside. I can't remember the last time I saw Lenny or anyone talking to anyone with any interest. Maybe that would make Al stand up and take notice that he is off his mark lately too. Get it together guys, this big ship is going downnnn

I say NBC and Matt Lauer made their bed. Now they can lie in it. They are only concerned about themselves. Perhaps they need to take responsibility and do right by Ann Curry. Why did NBC and Matt Lauer think they could throw away one woman and replace her with another as if they are interchangeable. I have watched the Today show since I was a small child. I am now a grandmother. I will never watch the Today Show again. Good Morning America from now on for me.

I'm so enjoying Good Morning America in the mornings - I switched over when Ann was pushed out of Today
younger, fresher, lighter and you can see they have genuine fondness for each other
and if Matt and Ann do a photo op lunch- because that is what it sounds like it would be- it would be all to contrived and obviously an attempt to rehabilitate Matt's image- damage control
don't know if it's really Matt's fault or poor NBC decisions that caused the fiasco with Ann and I'm not looking to assign blame- the end result is what I object to

Don't do it Ann. What goes around comes back around! once again, NBC is only thinking about Matt. NBC does get it yet. We don't like Matt. And once more . more than a hand full of us doesn't watch NBC at all!

CARMA what goes around comes ECT. NBC threw her under the bus But I did not hear anyone on the couch speak up. Shame on you. I now watch Fox and friends . I do not watch anything on NCB local or national.
