Munsters Reboot Dead On The Table

It's alive! It's alive!

No, wait, it's dead. Sorry, Herman Munster, it doesn't look like the mad science worked this time.

NBC has officially pulled the plug on Mockingbird Lane, the reboot of the classic Munsters series starring Jerry O'Connell and Eddie Izzard.

Series creator Bryan Fuller broke the news to fans. He tweeted:

Too bad! Despite a visually stunning pilot directed by X-Men vet Bryan Singer, NBC just couldn't get behind the concept.

After all, a show about a family of monsters? What could have possibly made anyone think that would work?

well there goes NBC. Maybe they can air 10 seasons of The Voice per year now. I was looking forward to this.

i actually think as long as they found the right day & time, this show could have done pretty well

They must want to replace it with a "reality show".

That's crap… NBC goes and kills off something before they even give it a chance. The show looked really promising too. :(

Sorry but when will studios learn casting Jerry O'connell in anything means sudden death. None of his shows last more then a season if that

Izzard and the design and fx teams should get some work out of it though… they shined through mess it was(though I liked it)

I'm not usually into remakes of classics, especially with TV shows. But the way they remade this classic was very unique and entertaining. It almost reminded me a little bit of a Tim Burton film, plus love, love, love Eddie Izzard. I am so shocked they canceled this; especially because I haven't heard one person who saw it and didn't like it.

i like jerry. It's prob one of the few shows I might have tuned in for. Since the voice is over the only thing worth watching is once upon a time
