Barack Obama Addresses Nation Fiscal Cliff Talks

President Barack Obama is bound and determined to stick to his campaign promise of stopping tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans.

But for now, he's having to fall back on his strategy from his first campaign- Hope!

Barack says he and congress are making definite headway in reaching a solution to the fiscal cliff crisis, but unfortunately they aren't there yet.

He says thus far the tentative plan looks like it will include tax credits for middle class families, families with children, and families paying for college, as well as credits for companies creating clean energy.

The POTUS says he had hoped to make one major plan with his Republican opposition, a sort of great compromise, but that has not happened. He says:

"With this congress, that was a little too much to hope for at this time."

The Prez sez he will be spending New Year's Eve in Washington, D.C., working to complete a plan that everyone can be happy with.

It's about time!

No, seriously, it's only hours away from midnight!

Republicans created the US debts, crashed our economy and now refuse to help repair the damage THEY created. Thanks god the democrats are adults.

Laughing so hard at "Fiscal Cliff Agreement", hahahaha.

There is no way out of the debt they created against us using derivatives starting in the late 1990s. It does not who is the President. They will collapse currencies, most likely after larger war begins in the middle east, just like the foreign (European) bankers did in the 1930s to cause the Depression. This man is not in control of anything and is lieing to the public, in particular the so called votership that 'trusts' him and that voted for him.

Better buy gold or silver to protect yourself. Silver would be the better buy as there is LESS of it than gold this time around.

You must understand. THE DEBT THEY CREATED has NOTHING TO DO WITH WAR DEBT.

It is DERIVATIVES DEBT. Started in the late 1990s before the removal of the Glass-Steagal Act that was put in place in the 1930s to PREVENT this from happening.

The entire debt created by Derivatives is not by accident. It was created by Design.

To crash currencies, take half or more of your wealth and force you to accept Global Government which would be run from Europe.

    Re: Paulie

Um, no the Republican Bush tax cuts that created no jobs created the vast majority of the debt. Then the Republicans put two stupid wars on a Chinese credit card.

This "president" is a ridiculous excuse for a leader.

Re: Maria – Hey I did not vote for him this time around, you know the saying "fooled me once" - hard to believe so many people got fooled twice. Would be nice if they cut the tax rate for low income seniors like myself, last year had to pay $380 plus the fee for filing returns.

    LMAO!
Not a fan of American politics, period. And if I had to choose, I couldn't pick anyone from either the Republican or Democratic party; the nature of the system itself prevents any citizen from making a clear and ultimately rewarding choice regarding ALL of the individual issues.

All of that said, this quote is fucking hilarious.
Kinda like saying: "With THIS government, nothing is possible."

I think he just mindlessly reads from the teleprompter. So we need to take the next step and find out who is the man behind the curtain.

These new 'economics' can't go on forever. A balanced budget is a balanced budget.
Ron Paul is the only one worth listening to, and he's out because he doesn't slither. Cover your eyes.
