10, 9, 8, 7…. Aww, New Year's Eve just isn't the same without him!
Only hours away from ushering in 2013 without Dick Clark as his wingman, Ryan Seacrest doesn't know precisely how to feel.
Speaking candidly with Good Morning America, Ryan explored his thoughts on tackling the Times Square ball drop all by his lonesome!
"Surreal is probably the most appropriate word. You think back 40 years ago he started the tradition . . . I not only watched [Dick], I used to watch him and study how he hosted these shows. He was kind of like my guidance counselor. He'd always make you feel like you were his good friend. He was like that in person as well."
That's so sweet of him to say! We're glad Ryan had the opportunity to learn from the best!
Dick Clark died in April from a massive heart attack.
Tonight, more than ever, he will be missed.
