Breaking Bad Creator Says Some Fans Will HATE The Finale!
Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan knows what he wants — it just might not be what the fans want!
In a recent interview, the executive producer said there would be good news and bad news by the end of this year's finale.
The bad news is there won't be a movie, despite Bryan Cranston reportedly wanting to make one!
The good Bad news is that the ending won't be ambiguous AT ALL. So there won't be any room for water cooler wondering like the end of The Sopranos or Lost. Vince says:
"Rightly or wrongly, there will be a conclusive ending. Our story from the beginning has been designed to be close-ended. It’s very much designed to have a beginning, middle, and end and then to exist no more."
But will the ending break our hearts? Twist our minds? Vince says the only sure thing is that it will be polarizing! In fact some people will hate it!
But is the showrunner OK with that? Well, it depends on how many hate it. He says:
"You don’t want 10 percent to say it was great and 90 percent to say it sucked ass. You want those numbers to be reversed."
There's no way that many people will hate it! We have faith in you, Vince!
