Will Harry Potter's creator be Dr. Who's next companion?! Or perhaps she'll pen an episode of the long-running, much beloved British science-fiction series??
Well, as we've learned from the Doctor, all things are possible…
But rumor has it J.K. Rowling is one of 11 celebrated authors chosen to write a short tale based on one of the 11 incarnations of Dr. Who, in honor of the show's 50th anniversary!
Publisher Juliet Matthews recently dished:
"We are delighted to have 11 sensational children's authors involved in the series, all bringing an individual style, imagination and interpretation to their eshort tribute to The Doctor. This is a who's who of children's fiction coming together to celebrate the much-loved Doctor Who."
Now that Rowling has broken away from her teenage wizard franchise with latest adult novel Casual Vacancy, it only makes sense that she would want to test her expert writing skillz in multiple, variant projects…
And seeing as she obviously has a flair for the fantastical, we think she would be PERFECT as one of the 11 Who storytellers!
Now if she could only be convinced to write an episode…
And we'd evaporate like a Dalek incinerator beam victim!
