I have no opinion on his music, having only heard one song once. But it sounds like he is trying very hard to be "hip" and "relevant" by hanging out with a lot of rappers. In a vague way he reminds me of M. Cyrus trying harder every day to get rid of her Hannah Montana rep (which brought her the fame in the first place. I was at a theater watching another movie and when I got out, I could NOT believe the long lines to buy tickets to the first Hannah Montana movie!).

I don't give a rat's a@@ if this kid smokes pot. But, since my 5-year-old is a big fan, I do care that he was stupid enough to let someone take pictures of him smoking pot. Seriously, what was his security team doing? You can say he's not a role model, that parents should be their kids' role models all you want, but everyone knows celebrities influence their young fans. Yes, it's my job to raise my kids but Bieber doesn't need to make it any freaking harder than it already is. Young kids want desperately to be just like the stars they love.
