Bette Midler Broadway Play

The Divine Miss M is back!

Bette Midler is returning to her Broadway roots for a very feisty role.

After 30 years away, Bette is making her grand return to Broadway in I’ll Eat You Last: A Chat With Sue Mengers where she will play legendary Hollywood agent Sue Mengers.

The play, written by John Logan, will focus on the fierce woman who became the first female mega Hollywood agent, representing stars like Burt Reynolds, Candice Bergen, Ryan O'Neal, Steve McQueen and Barbra Streisand.

John chose Sue as a his focus for the play after a completely intriguing interaction at one of her famous dinner parties. He revealed:

"At one point I asked her what had changed most about Hollywood since she had arrived. She didn't hesitate for a second: ‘Honey, we used to have fun…’ Later in the evening she settled back and lit up a joint. There she was: a joint in one hand and a cigarette in the other. At that moment I knew I had to write the play."

Bette will simply knock this role out of the park! We must see it!

With this upcoming play and the success of Parental Guidance, it looks like Bette is taking over.

And we're loving it. No one can do it quite like her!

Better get calling, Ryan Murphy, this little lady's free time is filling up fast.

Sounds great! Hope they eventually bring this play to LA as I cannot afford to go to New York. She is a wonderful actress and looks very funny. Have seen her in a couple of movies.
