Community Season 5: POSSIBLE!

It seems like a cruel and far-off dream, but if this report is right, there's at least one NBC exec that's hopeful for a fifth season from the incredible comedy series, Community!

The show has pretty much always been dangerously flirting with cancellation, which would be a horrible blow to comedy for NBC, regardless of ratings. We hate seeing quality being thrown out the window because execs don't know how to promote it!

According to Bob Greenblatt, though, the network is hoping for a fifth season:

"I think you'll see relatively the same show that you did before, maybe with a little bit more heart built into it. But we didn't fundamentally change it. We're absolutely hopeful it will lead to a fifth season. I'd love nothing more than to see it continue."

Apparently the upcoming 4th season is NOT designed to be its last!!

That's fab news… but that also means that we won't get a proper send off if it truly is the final season!

Don't go, Troy and Abed! Don't goooooooo!! Six seasons and a movie!! LOLz!

Sigh. Nice to see they didn't "fundamentally change" the best comedy on television. What a clown. Fire Chevy and bring back Harmon…

Re: MewLover34 – Chevy left in the middle of filming season 4. Duhhhh.

Re: lorna – Nah he left with like one episode left in the season, but who knows what would happen if there was a 5th. The second part of that sentence is what is important though.

Community is a great comedy, much MUCH better than The Office or Parks and Recreation that the NBC exes seem to be in love with.
They should do a season 5 because that would ensure great syndication money for all the actors. NBC doesn't know a good comedy if it bit them on the ass. They got rid of "My Name is Earl", but kept Parks and Recreation? Ugh.
