| Filed under: Neil Patrick HarrisGleeChris ColferEmmys

Chris Colfer won Favorite TV Comedic Actor at The People's Choice Awards, but he seemed more excited about who presented him the award— Ellen Degeneres!!!

When Chris stepped up to the microphone he said:

"To be handed an award by this person is just incredible"

The Glee star beat Neil Patrick Harris, Ty Burrell, and Jim Parsons.

We're sure this honor will look great next to his Emmy!!!

Ch-ch-check out his full acceptance speech (above)!!!

Colfer's a creative, talented young man. I do think he got a bit excited; I would have mentioned Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Adam Shankman, Eric Stoltz and maybe even Zach Woodlee (but that's me) along with the cast and crew.

He's usually very good about mentions like that, giving credit to all and sundry. It's been a busy week for him, with the "Struck By Lightning" limited theatrical premiere on the 6th and the release for tomorrow (11th), so I'm sure it's cool.

And Glee is a very good show for those with a little artistic bent and some music in their soul. The show and Colfer's character, Kurt, have been major consciousness raisers in many respects. I wish the show had been around when I was in high school. The Golden Globe was well deserved and I wish the show was getting a little more respect; I think the fan "flash" might be hurting the professional regard, in some ways. Lot better than "Smash" or "30 Rock", as far as I'm concerned.

I was a bit concerned about the split-locale setup this season, but it's sort of OK. I'd still prefer a NYC spin-off so the kids could have their HS element and those who are either older or more engaged by the veteran cast could have the fun in NYC. Move Santana, Mike & Mercedes to NYC, have Quinn come up to visit from New Haven, leave Finn & Puck in Lima, so we can enjoy them holding down the fort and cross-over. Better opportunity for character and storyline development for all concerned.
