According to a new court report, Amy Winehouse spent her final hours drinking vodka alone in her bedroom and watching YouTube videos of herself. She was found dead on her bed 12 hours later, with the laptop beside her, right next two empty vodka bottles. So sad.
This was told in court during a second inquest, because the coroner at the first hearing did not have the correct qualifications — and it has now been confirmed that Amy passed away after drinking so much that she stopped breathing and fell into a coma.
She had a live-in security guard, Andrew Morris, who is the one who recounted the events. He was watching TV when she was listening to music in her room, and she cam out to show him a YouTube clip of someone she had gone out with. He notice she was drinking, but knew she wasn't completely drunk. We're sure he'd know better than anyone what that looks like.
'[She] stayed up in her room watching YouTube clips [of herself].’
Apparently this wasn't a new thing for Amy, but it hadn't happened in a long time!
He then left at 2:30am, returning at 10am to check on her — this is when he saw her lying face down, fully clothed. He assumed she was sleeping, so he didn't realize something was wrong until she hadn't moved until 3pm.
We can't even believe how long it's been since she passed. It feel like just last week, and we miss her just the same.
