    Perez your writers got it wrong on this one, though Kate isn't a stunning beauty this portrait ages her and seems to accentuate flaws. It is by no means an ugly portrait but why so many wrinkles around her eyes and mouth and rounding her nose it looks like an age progression photo. Btw a portrait is the ultimate airbrush. I would expect her to be gracious though.

    Kate Middleton is at her best when she full-on smiles, which she did NOT offer for this image. This portrait is actually pretty good; there's zero question of who it is, and the object of a portrait is to capture a likeness. This is what the artist did, and did well. If it's not flattering, that's too bad; Kate Middleton is cute, but not a beauty. The artist saw her for what she is, and the representation is largely accurate.

    Kate is a beautiful woman. She looks much older and worn for wear in the painting - why highlight bags and wrinkles under her eyes? Its a painting. You can give her face character, but why highlight unflattering features?

    Sorry but this is not a good picture of her, she is much prettier and younger both on TV and on pictures I have seen on the Internet.

    What is the fuss about…? It looks just like her. Kate isn't the prettiest girl nor is her sister. I have always said that Kate and Pippa look old for their ages. I think it is an English thing.
