The Netherlands Says YES To Glow In The Dark Highways!
Ever been driving on the highway and thought to yourself - wouldn't it be cool if this was like Tron and this highway was totally glow-in-the-dark?
Well, if you live in the Netherlands - that just became a serious possibility!
The idea behind it is that during the winder roads can become very dangerous.
The glow-in-the-dark designs theoretically eliminate this danger by making everything easier to see when temperatures decline.
Wow - so cool.

How does this work if snow is covering the road? And the snow plows would scrape it off just like they do with regular painted lines over time.
I think it is a nice, out of the box, thinking project but it will be a limited test to try these technologies.I dont think they are all going to be adopted on a large scale but to innovate the roads seems like a good idea.We can do more with them.Induction seems especially interesting to me as it would take away range issues? You dont want to recharge your car for 4 hours every 80km.
Someone needs to use spell check. "Winder"
We don't use snow plows in the NL, we use salt to dissolve the snow
. So that solves both the problem of visibility and the scrapping.
