The Vampire Diaries Spinoff Coming?! OMG, So Are We!!!
The Vampire Diaries should change Joseph Morgan's name to Santa Klaus! Because the hybrid may be giving us the best gift of all- a spinoff!
In the April 25th episode, Original Vampire Klaus will visit an entire community of supernatural beings in New Orleans.
Reportedly, Klaus helped build a community in the French Quarter as a refuge for various supernatural beings centuries ago, and now it's led by his former protégé Marcel.
Viewers can rest assured that good times will roll, along with some heads- just hopefully not the eyes of execs! The ep will serve as a "back door pilot" for a brand new show entitled The Originals!
Who else would move to the new series? Well, Phoebe Tonkin will reprise the role of Hayley in the episode, but that's no guarantee she'll be a regular cast member!
So keep you fingers crossed! Oh, but not too close to the vampires- you wouldn't want to burn them! LOLz!

Joseph has stolen the show from the main characters. Can't wait to see what the writers have in store for him in April.
Everything would be perfect if it wasn't for Klaus&Caroline. What about them? I'm not ready to let go.. If only she'd be in it I'd be all for it. Without her, I think I prefer it him to stay on TVD. Why fix what's not broken? He's pretty much the light of the show atm.
His character reminds me of a 6 year old throwing a strop when he doesnt get his own way, much prefered his brother…
As stated above, the man is arguable the best part of the show ever since he came on it. Guy is amazing. Starring in his own show? I guess, but I'd rather he stayed where he is. If he just did a lot of cameos on the new show that would be perfect.
So excited for this show! Klaus…love to hate him! Joseph Morgan is such a great actor. Can't wait to see how this goes. Long live The originals! Hopefully they will also bring Daniel Gilles over too.
They finally get their spinoff?!?!? The spinoff was postphoned after its showrunner had to help out with "The Secret Circle".

These are the characters I care the least about. If they actually made Klaus into something that isn't a caricature of a "bad guy," i might be interested.

Totally agree with Pradagirl. Klaus is the best thing on TVD (IMHO), he steals every scene and there has been an annoyingly lack of him in the series 4. Elijah is great too so I hope he will be a strong presence in the new show. Really pleased about this news, as the Originals have been around for over a thousand years you could fill up whole history books with their exploits!!! Great news, I can't wait!! No more boring love triangle for me!

If Caroline just so happened to go with him id be welcone to the idea but i just dont want him to go.. i love him being the bad guy and only caring about caroline, since she became his distraction i have gone of tyler lol.. Just dont want klaus with Hayley i cannot stand her.
I love Joseph Morgan so fucking much!! He is BRILLIANT . Great great actor!!
