Carrie Underwood Supports Gay Marriage, Wearing Panties And Being Nice

Carrie Underwood Allure Gay Marriage

We have to say, those are all pretty damn good things to support!

Carrie Underwood was as sugary sweet as they come when she broke onto the scene with American Idol, and all these years later, not much has changed.

The country darling spoke with Allure magazine about maintaining her down-home appeal while still making her voice clear as a modern woman. She revealed:

“I’m in favor of acceptance. And I am a Christian person, and I do love the Lord, and I feel no matter who you are, what you believe, how you live your life, it’s not my place to judge. I don’t have that power. I don’t want that power. It’s my place to love and to show God’s love to other people, even if they don’t live a life like I live. So that’s where I’m coming from.”

But that’s not the only awesome thing she’s taking a stand for…she’s also all about covering up down below!

The sweet singer admitted no one will be getting any pics of her goodies anytime soon:

“Underneath every skirt, every dress, I’m wearing shorts. So that everyone in the world knows, if I ever fell down, nobody would get a peek at anything.”

Ha! Loves it!

Some little ladiez in Hollywood might want to take note because she not only covers up, but she's also helped Nashville become the nicest part of the industry, in her opinion. She admitted:

“To be honest, I’ve been fortunate enough to work with other types of music—and we’re the least drama-rific people.”

Dang!

Does this mean we can expect a Taylor Swift duet one day?

C’mon, country girlz gotta stick together!

She said it's not her place to judge anyone. That doesn't necessarily mean she supports gay marriage Perez.. I think your stretching …

Re: beckeboo – you're right… her acceptance is of the freedom for people to live a different life from herself…that doesnt mean she is out right supporting gay marriage. Basically she is saying to each their own because she can't/won't judge either way.

To everyone else here, some time last year, Carrie had announced she supports gay marriage in an interview and she got a ton of backlash from her country peers. She does in fact support it.

she left the doors open to ALL. PERIOD.

she is truly classic. i dont watch AI anymore, but i did watch her season, and saw her right from the first audition, and i, and my friends, were blown away! to sing accapella(sp) like that, with no autotune or bacground, we figured she be a SUPERSTAR!

i have watched performance vids of carrie, and she delivers the goods, and more. she SINGS LIVE, she has amazing vocals and can sustain them (and her songs are not easy on the vocal chords) from start to finish. of each song. of each show.

have you seen the video of blown away? WOWZA!

her O interview only made her more fantastic. and she is happily in love with a small-town canadian boy, who is in the nhl.

    rock on carrie!

Re: beckeboo – She did an interview last year in which she stated her support for gay marriage. Perez posted about it and was just reiterating today.

    Re: beckeboo
While it is in fact typical of Perez to "stretch" quotes the way he wishes, Carrie is INDEED showing support of gay marriage, albeit indirectly.
She doesn't say it aloud, but if her attitude is non-judgemental, (aka leaving it to God) then her statements support ALL lifestyles, whether she "likes" them or not, with the underlying feelings of love, and trust in a higher power to do the "judging."
She is basically stating what I believe an actual "Christian" should feel, if they follow Jesus' teachings: It is not her place to JUDGE others - regardless of her feelings and/or lifestyle - and that to do so would go against her belief system.
    Amen, sister!

Now, those who've read my comments know that I'm typically against the so-called Christian "lifestyle"; full of bias, prejudice and judgement without knowledge of history, and without acceptance and tolerance of those who believe differently, but IN THIS CASE, I'm with Carrie all the way.
She is holding up the number one "Bible" quote most Christians tend to ignore, when it's convenient:
"Judge not, lest ye be judged."
One thing, though: I do wish Christians would acknowledge a Lady, along with a Lord.
(There's a Mother too, not just a Father.)

awesome! Love Carie! Love that she took a stand for equality despite how conservative country music fans can be, etc. She was brave to stick to her guns.
See celebs? You don;'t have to flash everything all the time to look sexy. Wear underwear, please! No one wants to see that. It is tacky.

Re: beckeboo – She said she supports Gay marriage specifically in June 2012 to a UK newspaper. Just google it. It is everywhere. This is just a recent interview.

Do Carrie Underwood’s vibrant views ring a bell to you or they are just too far ahead of their times? Discuss it with the like – minded people on the only number-based social network.

Like how the headline over exaggerates what carrie tries to explain. Sounds more like shes neither for or against. She's just explaining it's not her business. I also believe it could be pressure to her that she doen't want people putting a new stereotype on her. I highly believe she was trying to gain acceptance from both sides or "views."

Oh and of course it's gonna be the "worlds" answer or defining of the meaning " judge not, lest ye be judged." People nowadays are gonna take that the way they wanna take it not the way of God's eyes. Such blasphemy. This is what has happened to the christian image today and for awhile now. You have even secular christians, who indeed, decieve themselves and "if it feels right, do it." Not everything is governed by how you feel but what is plaed by law. There "were" standards and laws for a reason. God places these kinda things in our lives as a test to see how far we will go in life, whether HIS way or YOUR way, before he reveals the truth to everyone some day. Plus it's so obvious to see how demoralizing these things are even without the christian faith.

So yeah shes scared of how the media and her fans will or would view her. All about keeping and upholding the image lol. I like a lady who has self respect, confidence, not afraid of what others think and won't let the pressure of others decide for her. It's what happens when you join the vast and dependent realm of fame and stardom.
