While I have a strong disliking for this jerk, he has a point. Mariah shouldn't have done American Idol, it's well below her (even though she hasn't had a legitimate hit in a few years, she's still the biggest selling female artist or whatever titles she holds). It's an especially bad decision considering all the drama with Nicki Minaj. Though most people are on her side at the moment, I can imagine people finding her narcisstic ways very annoying week after week. However, the quote above itself is coming from the man that tried to DESTROY Mariah's career after their divorce, cutting her marketing and promotion by 50%, denying her the right to release certain songs as singles, spreading rumours about her (he paid numerous journalists to talk bull about her - including Wendy Williams, but she declined his offer) and giving her musical ideas to Jlo.

How can it be a mistake for her career? What career? She is over. But maybe it will help her like it did JLo. Couldn't hurt anything…

Sounds like Tommy is jealous. NOt sure why you're criticizing your ex-wfie when your own wife Thalia is a nobody in the Latin music industry or in Mexican Soap Operas. Your wife Thalia is too busy being a robotic trophy wife. I guess it bothers Tommy to know that Mariah didn't need him after all.

it seems to be the end of "A" game for celebs when they do judge spots. Except J Lo. That bitch is a smart marketer.

this Job makes sense for her though..it'll keep her in LA once the live shows start and she can still spend lots of time with her babies.

I 210% agree with him. I think Mariah needs money because some of her career choice lately has been kind of questionable but it could be bad manager. She needs a new manager stat!! I know Randy Jackson been in the game for a long time and has been her musical director but he doesn't know how to manage squat. His choices has ruined Mariah's career. He needs Jennifer's manager back

Mods, please ban spammer leonoretichards35, Thanks.
OT, Have not listened to her lately and do not watch any of those musical talent shows (except the first two years of Idol) but wish her the best.

Ouch! Gotta sting but the truth hurts.

That's a matter of opinion. That old paradigm doesn't seem to apply to Idol and the Voice,
which seem to be oddly errant money machine phemons. Tyler and Aerosmith benefitted immensely, as have others. I can see why he might say that, but have to disagree in this case. Some things don't fit the usual moulds.

She hardly needs money. She just did 3 sell out shows in Australia…

Mariah's doing Idol purely to boost her career, not for money. She has an eestimated net worth of $500 million for crying out loud! The woman is far from poor.

  17. 17

Says the man who tried to destroy her career after their divorce. Can't believe he's still trying to demean her choices and decisions over 15 years later. He already did enough damage as it is . She's already insecure to begin with and, as she puts it, she is still suffering from the "side effects" of their relationship. Possessive bastard listened in on her phone calls, made her go to gay clubs only (with a body guard), kept tabs on her and turned away any visitors. He even made their "servants" not look her in the eye for heaven's sake. He's pure evil.

Re: Truth Hurt – I'm sure she need money. She must be really starving with her more than half a BILLION net worth.
