Britney Spears Will Be Crowned Queen Of …Caesar's Palace?! Las Vegas Residency Deal Is A Go!

Sin City is about to get even MORE sinful!

Britney Spears has signed a $200 million two-year contract for a residency in Las Vegas!!!

While an official statement hasn't been made confirming the move, it is believed that Brit Brit will call The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace her new home.

However, Caesar's Palace is worried that Brit won't have the same kind of successful ticket sales that predecessors Elton John, Shania Twain, and Celine Dion experienced.

A business expert said:

"She has a narrower appeal."

But even if the queen of pop doesn't as much universal appeal as Elton, it is thought that she will make up for it in the publicity she will garner for the Sin City staple.

Experts estimate that Jason Trawick's former flame will rake in $2 million a week which will add up to a fortune over 2 years.

Let the games begin!

R.I.P Caesar's Palace. How you go from Celine to Britney I have no idea and I'm not even a Celine fan. SMDH

im not real sure why britney would agree to this u would think she would be taking it easy a bit and not signing up for something as intense as this

Cant see her attracting an older audience like those other artists. WTF are they thinking? she just doesnt have broad appeal. Oh yeah, and SHE CANT SING LIVE! or even dance anymore. Mess

I'm wondering exactly what she will be performing? She doesn't really sing or dance live…..Vegas has a lot of awesome shows with great performers she kinda only has her name to go on. Maybe this is a good move, its easy money doing things in one spot….hopefully it gives her a bit more comfort so she can get back into dancing better at the very least because my lord, she's terrible on stage these days.

I find her a bit young to be going the Vegas route. This is something artists usually do after they have been in the business for 20 - 25 years or more. Granted Britney has been in the business for 15 years since she got her break in 1998, but it still seems kinda early for her. Her last couple of albums didn't really flop - no they weren't top sellers. All I'm saying is that this is usually what artists do after chart success has subsided but they are considered legends in the industry. I'm sure they money is really good and probably why she accepted, but still an odd move for her. It might be a great move for her in the long run though - but I feel that initially she'll be a huge draw but after a year or two she won't be as big of a draw anymore there. I remember Madonna was offered 1 Billion for a Vegas show and she declined because she didn't want to live in Vegas and do the same show in the same place every night.

Smart move on Vegas - it's a younger / younger professional crowd that hits vegas these days - and as much as she can't sing or dance (anymore), really, many of these boozers will find an excuse to see Britney in Vegas. Smart move on her part to take it. Would I spend money to see her again? Probably not. Love the girl, love her music, but it's an absolute waste in my opinion. Seen her twice now, great shows, but not worth it… she can't sing nor dance. But again, 200 Mill? after her 15 Mill deal with X Factor? Clearly there's still a huge appeal and demand for it, so why not. BLAH

She won't be able to pull this off. Bet Jamie covered their assess for when she cracks and pulls out.

No one is going to pay to see Britney NOT sing and NOT dance. There are too many legit acts to see.

I am a huge Britney fan and if I was given the opportunity to see her live, I'd totally take it but I'm not sure how she would be able to handle this. Apparently xfactor had her stressed and that probably consisted of 5 day work weeks for the 3 months of live shows and weekends when they were doing the auditions. If that was too much for her wouldn't a 2 year Vegas residency be too much?

Um, Celine is the Queen. Britney is a peasant next to Celine.

The land of smoke and mirrors is perfect for her, she can only lip synch. Besides isn't Vegas where all the over the hill careers go to many one last big bunch of cash? Lets see if she has another meltdown now that no one is holding her hand and telling her to be a good little girl. It amazes me how these people with no talent or skills for that matter make such a fortune for themselves.. 200 million? Not back for some trailer trash.

I used to like her music, but feel sorry for her, must have a lot of pressure from her family to perform. Too bad she cannot just stay home with her children.

  14. 14

geez $200 million to lip sync and pretend to dance!!!!!

  15. 15

UGH! Does this mean she's going to disappear from the scene like when Toni Braxton and Celine did? Their careers actually got worse after accepting these type of deals, people just lost interest in them. I LOVE her but i don't want her to do this, she needs to release one more album then take a few years off, she doesn't NEED this gig….blahhh i much rather her go on tour(s.)

I think this is a smart choice for Britney and her team. She has always enjoyed performing, but hates the traveling part and being away from her kids. If there was one thing that Britney needs….it is stability. So if the deal works out, she will have a penthouse suite, perform 3 days a week…..and be off for 4. She continues to have some strange magnetism(crazy loyal fans)…so I think people in Vegas would go.

  17. 17

This woman could not even sit at the X factor desk without wandering off. I have no illusions that she could do a 90 minute live show every night. No one wants to see someone lip synch and stand still like a zombie in Vegas.

  18. 18

I hate gifs but Britney looks incredibly adorable in this one I have to say.

  19. 19

I remember when Vegas was the dumping ground for has been acts. Elvis took flack for doing Vegas in the 70's as much as he did. I remember rock artists saying "Well at least I hope I don't end up in Vegas like Elvis!" People forget that now. So now Vegas is the brass ring of gigs to get. Interesting. As for Brittany… I honestly don't know how anyone could play as many shows as these acts do without faking half of them (even Sir Elton… his voice is notoriously sketchy these days); so she may fit right in with the smoke and mirrors.

They could save a ton of money by just playing her CD's on the PA and having some blonde lookalike dance around in her underwear…I mean, all she does is lip synch and wave her arms.

  28. 28

    Re: Hannah
fake story? my thoughts exactly! i've never believed the claim that she was paid $15 million for x factor (there was probably a clause that she would get $15 mil if she brought in the ratings…she didn't). no way in hell do i swallow that she's being paid $200 million to lip synch and parade around the stage performing stiff zombie-like moves surrounded by a herd of dancers to cover her inadequate attempt at dancing.
