Dear Abby Creator Pauline Phillips Has Died At Age 94

Dear Mourning,
We have sad news to report.
Pauline Phillips, the Dear Abby creator, who was also known as Abigail Van Buren, has sadly passed away at the age of 94.
Ms. Phillips had been battling Alzheimer's for several years now, and since then, her daughter Jeanne Phillips has taken over the advice column and confirmed the news with the following statement:
"I have lost my mother, my mentor and my best friend. My mother leaves very big high heels to fill with a legacy of compassion, commitment and positive social change. I will honor her memory every day by continuing this legacy."
She certainly will leave a legacy of proper manners, common sense, and just all-around good advice. She will be greatly missed!

Nice lady, her sister Esther as well. funny trivia,
"Dear Abby " was Pauline Esther
"Ann Landers" was Esther Pauline
apparently their parents lacked imagination.
She and her sister shaped the cultural manners of America and wider for decades with their sensible advice. It's a real loss; and hopefully someone with sound judgement and a good brain steps in to fill the gap of the swirling cultural bowl.
She went to high school with Diane Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi
shes done well rip
my grandmother is 96 and still going these old birds have longetivity cos they didnt chug down macds or coffee they drank TEA ..
Mods please ban spammer johnpatrickmongan54, Thanks.
OT - May she RIP, her daughter has been doing her column for quite some time now. Doing a pretty good job as well. Although I prefer Carolyn Hax (Washington Post) if you want someone a bit more hip.
