Mark Wahlberg Spills The Deets On His Upcoming Basketball Movie… Starring Justin Bieber!

Marky Mark and Biebsy Biebs together, in a movie?!

It’s been nearly a year since we first heard about Mark Wahlberg’s plan to star on the silver screen with Justin Bieber and now we’re finally getting more details!

Mark recently stopped by Anderson Cooper’s show for a sit down and confirmed that a movie with the Biebs is definitely in the works!

The future flick, which started off as a random idea, happened when Wahlberg was off at Paramount, pitching another movie!

Mark explained:

“We had the meeting and I said, ‘Hey, by the way what do you think about me and Justin Bieber in a like Color of Money-type of basketball, street hustler movie?’ They bought it in the room in five seconds. So we developed the script, the studio loves it, his camp loves it.”

Wow! Sounds like it’s well on its way to actually happening!

However, don’t get your hopes up just yet — with Bieber’s current tour schedule and Wahlberg working on Transformers and Ted 2, filming might just have to wait until next year!

Mark continued:

“If I don’t do it, we will do it with him and someone else and I’ll produce it.”

Wahlberg also stated that he would be playing the hustler and Justin would be the “very good basketball player” that he mentors.

So just how did he spot out the Biebs for the project? Mark saw him playing in a celebrity basketball tournament and thought he’d be PERFECT!

This definitely sounds like an interesting role for Justin to take on!
