Tom Cruise Raided By Cops After Swatting Prank!
Police raided Tom Cruise's Beverly Hills home on Thursday after a 911 call reported an armed gunman in the home.
But when the long arm of the law showed up, there was no gunman, no victim, and no Tom - he wasn't even home!
If this sounds familiar, it's because it's part of a pranking trend which has been used to attack Ashton Kutcher, Miley Cyrus, and Justin Bieber.
The prank, which has become known as "swatting", is simply calling in a false report about a house to get it raided by police.
It's also a crime!
Most of the time, the celebs aren't even affected as they're busy having jobs and lives, unlike the miscreants who feel the need to prank strangers!
The real victims are the police, whose time is wasted, and all the real victims they could have been helping!
But these pranksters will learn soon - the cops don't like when you waste their time. One day soon, the raid will hit someone else's house - and he won't find it very funny!
