Watch The Controversial Anti-Obama Performance That Got Lupe Fiasco YANKED Off The Stage!

| Filed under: Music MinutePolitikBarack Obama

Lupe Fiasco made sure to exercise his first amendment right Sunday night, that's for sure!

As we previously discussed, Lupe performed a song that featured anti-Obama lyrics at one of the inaugural events this weekend.

Rapping "Limbaugh is a racist, Glenn Beck is a racist. Gaza Strip was getting bombed, Obama didn't say sh*t. That’s why I ain't vote for him, next one either," the Superstar artist made his point loud and clear.

…but so did security!

Check out his controversial performance followed by footage of him getting the boot above!

    This song is from 2011, why does it matter if he sang that? It is his right to voice his opinion and a lot of the words he says are true. Perez, maybe you should listen to the song in its full before you start saying negative things about him. Who care if it coincides with his inauguration, Lupe is such a great musician!

    So Awesome! Love this guy. Why did security make him leave? Looks like we are losing the first amendment too. Wake up America! We are losing the freedom!

    Alot of americans see it as lupe fiasco.democrats and republicans are all controled by the jewish luby, and most of the anti american hate that we get around the world is because of our support of israel.i mean lets face it israel is no different from the ex apartheid government that used to control south africa,

    i never understood why any topic that relates to israel is a taboo to the media.should we stay quiet about the war crime that israel commits and turn the other way good for fiasco for speaking his minde.at least he is raping about an importan subject

    I love Lupe and the fact that he speaks up on the truth that the media never talk about. You could learn a thing or two, Perez ;) lol. But seriously, why can't people criticize the government of Israel without people labelling them as anti-semitic. We give them $7 billion in aid / year for Pete's sake! We could use that money in our education or health care system. SMH. Love you Lupe!

    To all the people saying "Freedom of speech! We're losing our rights" Stfu. If he were performing ANYWHERE and insulting the person who the performance is for, of course security is going to yank them off the stage. If you invited someone to sing at your childs birthday party and they slung insults into the lyrics, whether it is an old song or not, would you let them keep singing? No. :P

    @RainbowBrite - -Totally agree.

    While I like Lupe’s music we disagree when it comes to our President. This was not the place or the time to voice such views. So…yes they should have kicked his butt off the stage no once came to hear that crap. It would have been one thing if he made a statement and moved on but he went on and on. I'm not really even sure the people in the audience knew what he was saying. Not only were his comments anti-Obama…they were anti-Republican too. So he doesn't support the American politics…either way so crazy Right Wingers don’t rejoice.

    I agree it was not the place or event for his freedom of speech to be exercised.

    If you know Lupe, then you know that he discusses some pretty heavyweight issues in his lyrics. The U.S. provides Israel with financial aid, and in turn they are able to continue to fight the Palestinians. The civilian deaths in this war far out weigh the deaths of actual fighting soldiers. Lupe simply wants peace! There is also a division in our country. The majority of Americans choose to fall in line behind one of two political parties. When someone disagrees with one party they are automatically labeled as the other party. I am not a right wing Republican, and I'm not a left wing Democrat. I am rejoicing that I am not alone though. They should have at least listened to Lupe's songs before inviting him to perform. They gave him a huge platform, and he used it. Kudos to Lupe for standing up for human rights!

    Looks like we are not even allowed to exercise freedom of speech. Someone bashing president Bush or anyone from the right would be praised amongst media outlets. But when you speak against Obama you get kicked off stage? America slowly losing control of our freedoms :(

    Re: ktw – Another person missing the point. If you went on stage at a Pro Bush rally and started calling him a war criminal and calling for his arrest, you would be promptly removed from the event. Pretty simple really.

    It's called freedom of speech. …I thought this was america?
