Beyoncé Lip Synched At The Inauguration… But Did Kelly Clarkson Fool Us, Too?!

Kelly Clarkson and Beyoncé might’ve both wowed everyone at the Presidential Inauguration yesterday, but only one of them truly sang!

As we reported earlier, it’s now been confirmed that Queen Bey did NOT sing The Star-Spangled Banner live… but the American Idol winner sure did!

Kelly chose NOT to lip sync My Country 'Tis of Thee with a backing track, which is usually recorded just as a precaution.

A U.S. Marine Corp Band spokesperson stated:

"We all know Beyonce can sing … We don't know why she chose to use the pre-recorded track.”

No word yet from Bey… but we are still a bit disappointed!

As for Kelly, at least she has remained true to her early Idol roots!

And when did Bouncie NOT lip-sync??? Jay-Z is in the studio cranking up the Auto-Tune for her, it's all fake. And I'm not a Kelly Clarkson fan, so there! Pop music makes me want to slap someone!

That's kind of funny because I thought Kelly sang much better. I am not a big fan of either, but I think Kelly did a GREAT job, Beyonce was ok, definitely not a WOW. It's probably best that she didn't sing live, because even the tape was so-so.

I'm glad she was exposed. I am so sick of big stars changing up the National Anthem - it is supposed to be sung by everyone - not just one singer messing with it so she can show off. I wish they would have got the military choir to sing it, and encourage everyone to sing along.

Disappointing! I thought I liked Beyonce, but I may have to rethink it. I wasn't paying close enough attention to the lip sync, but now that I know she did…
Kelly did great, though, and good to know she was actually singing!

I still don't see any "confirmation." I see one person in the band saying the band didn't play live - there was a pre-recorded music track. How does that directly translate to lip syncing?

i'm not going to bother trying to prove it cuz its too early and the info isn't completely out yet…you'll see the info when main stream media gets it…but she did sing along with the track…if you search youtube you can find where you can clearly hear two Beyonces singing…the track and her…the white house discredits reports of lippin and another band member just confirmed that the band didn't play…great super bowl promo tho lol…it's not like she can't really sing…

So there you have it..I wasn't even impressed with the pereformance she gave. Thought Kelly's had a LOT more impact. Maybe some of the ridiculous idol worship that goes on for Beyonce will back off a bit… She's just a human being, after all. NBD.

BITCH, just practicing for lip syncing the super bowl. It's funny, over the years the rockers doing the half time show actually performed LIVE. NOT ONE of the "pop stars" have done so. they all stand up there with a dead mike in their hand and flap their lips to a CD. MILLI VANILLI all of them.
