Well, there certainly is a lot of hype for Jennifer Lawrence to win an Oscar this year, and it will be extremely awkward if she doesn't win. Especially after the SNL performance where she mocked her fellow nominees. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was funny and I do not think that the Academy will pay much attention to shows like SNL. Oscars can make or break a career and her career is going extremely well, which brings me back to the "hype" for her to win an Oscar… It is unfortunate, because it she doesn't win it will be a shocker. Oscars are not the alpha and omega, the great Greta Garbo never won an Oscar and still she remains a legendary actress. So well, guess what I am trying to say is that Oscars are an honor to win, but it is not everything. Certainly in Jennifer Lawrence's case.
