Hugh Hefner's Longtime Secretary Mary O'Connor Passed Away: The Girls Next Door Share Their Grief On Twitter

What an incredibly sad day.
Anyone who is familiar with Hugh Hefner, Playboy, or even just The Girls Next Door, also knew about his very close friendship with his longtime secretary Mary O'Connor, who was frequently featured on the reality series and largely considered to be a part of his, ahem, 'unconventional' yet very loving family!
However, it's with a heavy heart that we must report that the woman who dedicated over 40 years the founder of the gentleman's magazine has passed on, leaving not only Hef devastated, but many of his current - and former - love interests with whom she cultivated very close relationships.
Hef took to Twitter last night announce the upsetting news:
Mary passed away today. We loved her more than words can say.
— Hugh Hefner (@hughhefner) January 28, 2013
And he was not alone.
His new wife, Crystal Harris, as well as his former girlfriends Holly Madison, Kendra Wilkinson, and Bridget Marquardt have all taken to the social networking site to share their grief and remember lovely Mary for the wonderful person that she was.
They shared:
Hef's long time secretary & my dear friend Mary O'Connor has passed away. It's a very sad day here at the Playboy Mansion. We love you Mary.

Thank you for all the sweet messages. Mary O'Connor will be missed. #RIPMary

RIP Mary O'Connor. She was an amazing person who helped me through so much. But I know she's happy with her boo Captain Bob. :)

Rest In Peace Mary! “@ashleymatthau: Just saw a rainbow! twitter.com/AshleyMatthau/…”

We can't even imagine how difficult it must be to lose someone who was such a stable, nurturing force for so long as she was, and we truly cannot express our condolences enough to everyone who's life she touched for the better.
Our heart and prayers are with all of you during this enormously difficult time.
Stay strong, guys. We're sure it's what Mary would have wanted.

Hef's next. His health will start failing now. She was a soul mate to him. Game over.
Aww its so sad. I watched her on the show and she was, from what I've seen, a very wonderful person. RIP
RIP Mary. You were way cool!
sad. she seemed like a nice lady. hope hef will be okay. 40+ years must mean their friendship was a very strong one. i couldn't live without my friends of 20+ years, or would be lost professionally without my colleagues of 10+ years.
Without Mary, Hef is lost. He´s going to die soon.
Well… This make me cry…
Thank you, Perez,
That was a very nice thing to say about Auntie Slim. I think she leaves a wide gap or a vacant space in all the lives of the people that knew her. Think of her in her old age as a velveteen rabit. She was old and worn, and that ment that she was very loved and very real.
