Call it karma!
Well, coincidentally, the country's internet is down again!
Previously, when their web went down on Monday, they released a statement saying
The world of news is getting a shake up!
And it starts with many news fans’ sweetheart Ann Curry.
The former Today show cohost is still looking for a news program to call home despite rumors that CNN was trying to woo her.
It seems it isn’t so as new CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker is so Team Matt Lauer as a source revealed:
“Ann has been sainted because of what happened to her [on Today]. The fact is … she definitely can't carry a prime time show.”
Don’t say that about our Ann! She can do whatever she wants!
But at the end of the day, whether or not she can carry a show, it comes down to money as CNN would be unwilling to match her current hefty salary with NBC.
We’ve all known about Ann’s ongoing dramz forever now, but she ain’t the only one facing some change.
While CNN might not want Ann, they do have their eye locked on 20/20 co-anchor Chris Cuomo.
But don’t worry Ann, he wouldn't be stealing your job. CNN wants him for a morning show as a source explained:
“They’re making a play for Cuomo in a fairly significant way and ABC has to figure out fast if they can match or better CNN’s offer.”
Damn! Looks like ABC might be out an anchor…
That’s right, another person might be leaving the ABC news desk.
One of our personal faves, Diane Sawyer, is considering retirement!
Noooooo! Things were just getting so good with her!
The ABC World News anchor is ready to leave in order to focus on other parts of her life that need her right now as the source revealed:
“She has discussed with a few close friends and some people at ABC that she is seriously considering retiring … She loves work and what she does and has endless energy, but she’s overwhelmed with personal problems and she is thinking about leaving to take care of her family.”
However, her rep is denying her retirement:
“That’s a bunch of nonsense as we made clear and Diane’s plans for 2013 haven’t changed in any way.”
Either way, we are Team
We'll always remember election night!
