Beyonce will easily win this battle. Nobody works as hard as B! She will bring it.

  2. 2

None of the above. How about U2, Paul McCartney, Springsteen or the Rolling Stones? I would take any of them over this list any day. But if you prefer glitz, glamour, and production then I can see why you would prefer Beyonce or Madonna.

  3. Jeff says – reply to this

Michael Jacksons Half Time was amazing. He had stunt doubles popping out of the boards. Altogether a much better show.

    The Who rocked it too.

  6. piazzasbutttplug says – reply to this

I think that they should show Three Stooges shorts during halftime. It would make quite an approvement.

Madonna already won on rolling stone poll. biggest performance ever, with huge spetacle and huge ratings. madonna is a hard worker. noone does it better

  9. mlington says – reply to this

Madonna already won!!!! rolling stone said it… ppl voted !!!! bey is good but not WOWOW… Madonna is always WOWOWO and last year was surreal… never a star did that at superbowl!! huge stage, huge eprformance, huge opening act!! only QUEEN MADONNA

  10. samantha says – reply to this

    lol M.I.A. is M.I.A., what happened? :p

  11. mlington says – reply to this

check rolling stone magazine. Madonna won. sorry but bey wont beat the ratings…. bey just ahs voice its too predictable. we already know what to expect!! madonna blowned the world…

  12. mlington says – reply to this

Madonna already won!! ppl voted at rolling stone and without a doubt madonna created a huge show in 10 minutes.

  13. mlington says – reply to this

  14. 14

    Le Boob wins.

  15. mlington says – reply to this

MADONNA WINS like rolling stone said. many M fans doesnt vote in here. Ratings proves it #1…. first artist bringing a shjow to a football game like the rpess said. bey has a huge voice but thats just that

  16. mlington says – reply to this

Bey performances are always the sme. shes not a performer

  17. 17

I liked britney's, she was all wearing a football jersey and it was super fitting with the event and she did it in her prime. Madonna's just made me uncomfortable watching an old lady wearing things she shouldn't anymore and trying too hard to be sexual, it's really off putting.
Oh and I only picked Britney over Michael cause I didn't see his…

  18. Britney S says – reply to this

    MADONNA….WHO ELSE???? :(

  22. 22

how the fuck is madonna's performance good when she lip singed? idk but that isn't true talent, sure production looked awesome and stuff but idkkkkkkkk beyonce's will win because she said she won't lip sing and will put in a lot of work. have you seen the rehearsal video on youtube? i dont think shes playing around.

  24. xenedra says – reply to this

What the hell is wrong with you people. Michael Jackson had the best half time show that will ever be and you all know it. MJ forever!

  25. barb says – reply to this

Michael Jackson or The Who, either one was great ….but when you think about it, most people are going for a pee, a drink or food…so why do you need a half time show?????? Beyonce only works hard when it suits her purpose…she's no big deal. Destiny's Cild is so over.

  26. 26

    ZZ Top in 1997

  27. 27

I really liked the year Diana Ross did the halftime show, then strapped herself to a helicopter and flew out of the stadium still sitting on the side !!!Now that's some showmanship!!!

Re: rosebud99 – We watch the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet. It may be silly, but after being bombarded with the Super Bowl's advertiser-driven, WAY WAY WAY over-the-top love affair with itself and it's commercials, watching a bunch of dogs run into each other is just a breath of fresh air. Maybe if they went back to marching bands it would become interesting again.

THere is no way Madonna or Britney's show is anywhere in the league of Janet and Justin's performance. janet's nipple has more talent in it than all the choices combines. Beyonce wont give us anything new. She'll shake her ass like she always does. THe JJ performance rules supreme!.

Michael Jackson, for his undeniable and limitless talent and artistry; and the excitement over his performance was palpable because he was just so good. I'll never forget that performance and him standing there with his hair and shirt blowing in that wind machine, while he performed right in the centre of the zone.
His honed abilities put him on the zenith of performance. He rarely missed.

  59. Julie says – reply to this

How did Prince get left off the list? He also darn near killed himself playing an electric guitar in the rain.

  60. Tombi says – reply to this

Madonna is on my top list. She was original, creative, and artistic, e.g. choreography, stage presentation, technical production, and her singing. MJ cannot be ruled out …. For this SuperBowl, Beyonce's dance moves were expected. On some instances, her facial expression/look somehow mimicked J. Lo.

  61. Jocelyn says – reply to this

Michael Jackson had the best ever Superbowl……they should have gotten PitbulL to do it this year….he is amazing….

  62. Cynthia Kent says – reply to this

Michael Jackson hands down! You could 'feel the electricity' in the air, the crowd was going nuts!! The songs, not to mention his performance, outstanding! He had TOTAL command of the audience. I loved it, no one could match this mans talent OR his message.

Michael Jackson is the best and will always be, he didn't have backup artists to do the show, he sang and did it all himself, fuck you close-minded people who can't recognize greatness, all you like is crappy shit with 0 artistic value.

  75. mlington says – reply to this

ppl were expecting way more than Bey!!! everybody is saying Madonna was so much better. and she was. last year madonna changed half time show concept, created a huge performance… she fanced and all… bey crazy in love was fun but all the rest was boring… very poredictable!!!!! everybody is saying that. the numbers are 100 million for Bey and 114 million for Madonna. ppl are asking Madonna for 2014… but bey was cool too she should have created something huge for superbowl.. she just DANCED

Defo michael jackson king of pop ❤❤❤

  80. 80

Beyonce/Sasha can do some dancing now . Along with her troop, a lot better than Madonna, Justin Timberlake is getting older, I remember when he was the best, but I haven't seen him lately, so until then, I'll give it Beyonce. But I hope they don't have her every other song on the radio. Then you get B burn out.

  81. 81

MJ was the first BIG-time star to do halftime Superbowl and no-one's done it better. MJ still reigns - King of Pop - King of Superbowl!!!!

  86. Grow Up says – reply to this

This type of act is nothing but overproduced smoke and mirrors. Without all the flashing lights and smoke bombs there's really little to see.
Young people are easily duped into believing that today's entertainment is high quality.
Let's put the canned acts to rest. How about real musicians playing real music…live!

  87. Lolo says – reply to this

Beyonce- the most pathetic Super Bowl half time show of all time. What were the Super Bowl organizers thinking?

That music is music to bore you to death with. :(

  88. SalsaGringo says – reply to this

Watching Beyone's half time show gave me a new appreciation for the Animal Planets "Puppy Bowl".

  89. wizkid says – reply to this

MDNA tour grossed the most. GO MADONNA. After all the negative things said about this "amazing force of nature", no one says "I'm better than you" than MADONNA. And she is!!!

  90. Luiza says – reply to this

    Definitely Michael Jackson :)

  91. Heather Ruch says – reply to this

Anyone who voted for Madonna is an absolute MORON and clearly has no musical class

  92. Heather says – reply to this

It's a shame these are our voting choices as well, with the exception of Michael, although sadly, I don't remember his performance, so hopefully I can YouTube it. Why is Madonna's show last year even on the list?!?! She no longer entertaining, had used up her craft for longer then she should have & was SO obviously out of her element. EVERY SINGLE PERSON I spoke with last year about her performance, (mainly men), HATED whatever parts they did see…. And as a woman, I couldn't agree more. What a drag!! ;-)

  93. MartinP. (@Martin1987P says – reply to this

Who is Madonna? Cher, Grace Jones and Michael Jackson have all been victims of Madonna’s emulation, whether they know it or not.

Re: Heather Ruch – And you sound like an idiot!

  96. KC says – reply to this

What a biased poll. You could have at least listed every performer that performed during half-time. Instead, you choose the ones that appeal to the gayest fanbase.

  97. 97

Lol. Still using MJ to bring the crowd in. This polls are rigged for just that. Anyways, his is the best Superbowl show thus far. What other one captivated the audience from when the doubles first jumped out the top of the stadium until the very end of his song Heal the World???? What other halftime spread a message so deep except for the 9/11 show???? no one. from when the doubles first came out, when MJ stood there for 1 1/2 -2 mins without moving, to his speech, to his involving the whole stadium on his message of heal the children, no one can beat that. His shows were always years ahead of other entertainers. Their is no other MJ. Until than these polls are just a way to make money for the sites. Bring up his name, and here comes the crowd.

  98. rd says – reply to this

Not one of those first four you listed would be in my top five halftime shows, nor in the top five of many people I know. As someone here mentioned, U2's was the best show ever and not just because of the Sept. 11 salute. They were smart in keeping it to just two songs instead of trying to do a sampling of several hits. Some of these shows remind me of being on iTunes listening to a snippet and trying to decide if we want to buy this song or not. Having said that, however, I would still put Beyonce/Destiny's Child in the top five for pure energy and choreography. It reminded me a bit of a Busby Berkeley scene from a 1930s musical.
