Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Sequel Not Happening!

who framed roger rabbit still

For years, fans of the part-cartoon, part-live action classic Who Framed Roger Rabbit? have been chomping at the bit carrot to see a sequel!

But it seems their hopes have just had a piano of practicality dropped on their heads. And by the director no less!

Robert Zemeckis says that Disney would never let the movie get made today. He says:

"There’s been a lot of changes at Disney Studio.

I don’t think it’s on the cards, I don’t think it’s going to happen."

Aw! Sadly, this isn't all that surprising. The film was revolutionary not only for its pristine blend of live action and animation, but also in its collision of worlds!

This is the movie that had Mickey Mouse come face to face with Bugs Bunny, a feat of legal license hoop-jumping that hasn't been achieved before or since!

Hmm, maybe they could still get Daffy and Donald for a sequel? They could call it Duck Soup! LOLz!

This was a random story. I heard this first in the late 90's, a few years after the Roger Rabbit ride opened at Disneyland.

Thank God!! Hollywood needs to leave these movies alone already!

They shouldn't touch these movies anyway. Thank god someone in Hollywood had the sense to leave it alone.

Thank god! Such a great movie, they'd ruin it for sure!

I'm with the rest of you, no more sequels please. With all the screenwriters out there, someone must be able to come up with an original story.
