I have no problem with the Sandy Hook kids singing - they suffered a terrible event that will haunt them forever so it's great to give them something fun & exciting, like singing at the Superbowl. As for Jennifer - I've never understood why she's become famous for screaming. She's not a singer - she just hollers and yells and I mute her after about 5 notes.

Ever consider that this is a great diversion for these kids and part of their healing process? You don't have to be one of the victims' families to be emotionally impacted by what happened in their school.
I thought it was great! Much better memory for those kids to have than the shooting! Good for them!
I agree that the children would have been fine on their own. Jennifer was not a good pairing with these children, it just didn't mesh at all……she just had to get those freekin' trills in there and it ruined their song. The children did a wonderful job.
The kids did a great job and I thought that it would've been better if it was just the kids singing.
Re: fran – Me too, fran, this was way better than the SSB, those kids did a great job. Hope they can all eventually get over the trauma that the shooting caused.
The kids were probably thrilled to be able to perform with Jennifer Hudson at the Superbowl…. Perhaps the parents wanted them to experience something good to try and help them get past the tragedy they lived through. Perez you have some of the most ignorant commenters/fans IDIOTS! Parents pimping their kids out…gimme a break! And Jennifer Hudson was not screaming, she sings beautifully, something that not a lot of our so called singers can do these days!

As for the children, something didn't sit right. I don't think the NFL should have used grieving children as our entertainment.
Don't blame the parents - would they really say 'no' to a grieving child? A moment of silence would have been classier.

The people commenting that Jennifer Hudson can't sing or is screaming wouldn't know a real singer if it slapped them in the forehead. Her voice is beautiful, very soul stirring, can't say the same for Beyonce. I think your opinions are soaked in prejudice. Had it been Willie Nelson or Bono singing you all would have thought it was the best performance ever.
