NO! How could this…?
Ugh. Well, f-ck!
Despite exciting reports that our beloved Britney Spears had secured herself a $100 million-per-year residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, it seems that whatever was in the works has FALLEN THROUGH, and there is simply NO ROOM for the pop icon on the schedule for months!
According to Emily Wofford, public relations director for Caesars Entertainment:
"We are packed every weekend [for months]. [Caesars] is engaged with a number of today's top artists in discussions regarding headlining residencies at our venues in Las Vegas, [but is] always interested in having artists with the caliber of Britney Spears performing at our theaters."
Furthermore, while other reports surfaced suggesting that Brit Brit was in talks for a show at Planet Hollywood's PH LIve theater, the gig was ultimately scooped up by hypnotist Marshall Silver, who will begin an open-ended residency in March!
No need to fret, though, folks!
Another Sin City insider has confirmed:
"There was one definite offer for Britney in Las Vegas. A second one followed when the news broke."
However, while the offers are still under "serious consideration," there will be no confirmed deal until gurlfriend has wrapped recording her new album!
Which is frankly, how it should be!
Who knows?! Maybe once she's done, she'll prefer to embark on another world tour!
Hey! We can dare to dream, can't we?!
What do U think?? Should Brit Brit commit to a Vegas residency?!
