Just when we thought things couldn't get any worse over on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
But that wasn't the case!
Even though Nicole Kidman didn't have the time to sit down to support her friend in a CBS special honoring her Academy Award nomination, we're delighted to hear that at least there's no hard feelings on Naomi Watts' end!
Despite rumors of a feud brewing between the two due to Oscar envy, the Impossible star had NOTHING but wonderful things to say about her longtime bestie during a sit-down with Lee Cowan for CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood, set to air this Sunday morning!
In act, according to her, it was Nicole who kept her spirits high and motivated during the years she worked tirelessly in El Lay as an aspiring actress constantly being rejected!
“Oh my God, I mean, I considered myself fairly sensitive, but I don’t think a strong person could cope with it over and over again… there were moments when I was sure I was done. Oh yeah, but I didn’t have a plan B really, I didn’t. [Nicole] She kept saying, ‘It’s just going to take one thing, one thing, Nay, and you know, if you’re in a hit film…then everything changes.’”
And as we all know, everything DID change after Mulholland Drive!
Thank GOODNESS for that, too! She's such an incredible talent!
We know that those years must have been difficult, wracked with insecurity and self-doubt, but we know Naomi must have been so grateful to have a friend a little bit further up the success ladder than she, who was able to offer her not only support, but a different perspective and constant motivation!
We doubt she would have gotten to the place she is now without her!
Here's hoping your friendship continues to thrive, ladies!
But we're not gonna lie: we STILL think you'd both be FEROSH in a Whatever Happened To Baby Jane? remake!
Just saying! LOLz!
