Sorry, Carrie Underwood!

You may have had made sure that you and Taylor Swift are seated no where near each other during the 2013 Grammy Awards taking place tomorrow night, but you WILL still be seeing her up close and personal…AND before any other performance of the evening!

Because we've just learned that the country cutie is set to OPEN the entire ceremony, most likely with a rousing rendition of one of latest smash singles - and the track for which she's nominated in the Record of the Year category - We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together!

She explained:

"Oh my god, it's Grammy week, it's so hectic. I have a lot to plan for with the opening performance and I'm just really hoping all the pieces come together this week. Because this is when it really gets really crazy, but it's all very exciting too. You know what's interesting about these performances, like we presented this performance to the Grammy committee and we just said, 'This is what we'd like to do,' and they said 'OK, cool, you have a performance slot.' And then like a week ago they call us and they're like 'Oh, by the way you're opening the show.' So it's not like they approach you and say listen 'Let's do a big opening performance thing,' it just kind of surprised me that I was gonna go first. But I'm really, really excited about it. I think you should perform the song that's nominated. Like, if you got a song nominated for Record of the Year, you might as well perform that. It's a big hint."

AHHHHHHHH!!!

Believe us, gurl! That hint was heard LOUD and CLEAR!

And as we're sure you can tell by our scream, we couldn't be more EFFING THRILLED!

For a night with such a wide array of supreme talent, we think this will be the PERFECT performance to not only get the party started…but also set the bar nice and HIGH for everyone else taking the stage after her!

It's gonna be GOOD, you guys!

What do U think?? Which performance are you MOST excited about tomorrow night?!

Seriously? Can you get any more juvenile? Oh wait … we're talking about Taylor Swift - so that's about as juvenile as you get. Do you honestly think that Carrie is like this, or do you think maybe, maybe, this is all made up by Taylor's camp to engender sympathy for her. I mean seriously … her Kanye sympathy has worn out. The boyfriend sympathy has worn pretty thin. So who do we go after? Carrie Underwood - who has more talent in her little toe than Taylor could ever hope to possess. Why do you insist on fueling this fire, other than maybe you're getting paid to do so. You post wonderful things about Carrie here - why would you make a post like this???

Re: Sherilyn – THIS. Taylor had to update her victim card. The only good thing about knowing she's opening the Grammys is now knowing that I don't have to start watching until Bout 15 minutes in!!

Grammys ruined for me, thank you Taylor!

I'm not a fan. The song is catchy but it's also rather dull.

Nice that Taylor has now become an 'opening act'. It's obvious they're saving the best for later. LMAO

Lol haters. She got asked to open for the grammys and ya'all just want to hate. If you have nothing nice to say Dont say it.

  13. 13

She is really getting annoying. You can tell because everyone is dissing her now. I have no issue that she gets inspiration from her relationships, but she has so many and blames the guys every time. Then she does her little "I don't want you to know who this is about *cough* guys name *cough*. I swear… get over it child!

  14. 14

The better choice to open the grammys would have been Kelly Clarkson who along with Carrie can outsing, outshine and out perform anything Taylor dishes out, and LOL, it would not be auto tuned or lypsinched. When Taylor is 30, who will be left to listen to her juvenile kind of music, if you call it that. 90% of her fans are 5-15 year olds. The do grow up though

  15. 15

    Most boring song ever

  16. 16

Sorry not watching the Grammys, stopped watching them 5-7 years ago, boring. I'll wait for the Golden Globes and Oscars which are way more interesting, but hey, that is just my personal taste. For those of you who love the Grammy's, have a great time!

  17. 17

SO glad to know she's opening the show. That way, I can miss her and still watch the Grammys because I really was looking forward to them.

  18. 18

Well then i'm glad i stopped watching them about 8 years ago or else i'd be annoyed by this.

Everyone that hates Taylor and comments on these postings expressing that hatred (and I can't think of a better reason than to boost your own poor self esteem levels by insulting a symbolic figure on TV that can't get back at you), who also proclaimed to not watch the first ten minutes because Taylor is opening…. let's get real: You know you're going to watch her performance. And you're going to come right back on Perez, look for a posting on that performance, and further insult her, regardless of how the performance actually goes. Here's a 23 year old girl on television doing what she should do to advance her career, and there you are…spending your spare time behind a computer screen writing hateful comments over the internet. Call it freedom of speech or expression or whatever, but it's actually quite pathetic.

Re: Mary – Nice of you to make that comment…but personally don't hate Taylor at all. I really won't tune in for that, because I just don't want to hear that fekkin tune even ONE MORE time. Nails on a chalkboard after a certain point for me. Shrugs. It's past saturation for these ears. That's all.

HEARTBROKEN…by your performance…really a boy with glasses being tortured by YOU… the vivid imagery is not LOST. He deserves better than YOU… I am done DEFENDING you. Even my kids thought it was COLD.
