Jonathan Groff And His Gay Friends Are Moving From San Francisco To HBO!
GET READY, you guys!
Because it sounds as though HBO is planning to take Queer As Folk, combine it with the new generation of humor and insight currently being cultivated in the network's new darling, Girls, and throw in our beloved Jonathan Groff for some much-needed SEXINESS!
What does that all mean?
A brand new pilot in development starring the former Glee heartthrob about a group of 30-something gay friends living in San Francisco!
According to reports, Jonathan will portray Patrick, a successful video game developer struggling to find love, as well as grappling with the societal clusterf-ck we all know as modern-day life. Frankie Alvarez has also been cast as his best friend Augustin, an artist's assistant with an ego that keeps him from being able to completely settle down with his man, while Sarah Condon and David Marshall Grant are behind the development with Michael Lannan serving as writer!
And frankly, that's all we really need to hear!
It's about time we got a series like this back on premium cable, and we think that with such serious creative talent helping it come to fruition, this could be something not only well-made, but VERY culturally significant!
Not to mention possibly VERY nudity-heavy, like all of its HBO brothers and sisters!
Sorry! Our mind just HAD to wander there for a hot second!
This IS Jonathan Groff we're talking about! LOLz!

Jeez Perez, I am really getting tired of your site constantly giving news about anything that has to do with the gays. From any political gay news, to whom you have a teenage-boy crush on, or what gay couple is getting married. There are sites for that information. Can you just give us celebrity news?

LOL There are TONS of straight-only sites (blogs & otherwise); this is a celebrity-oriented blog, not the celebrity NEWS portion. If there are a couple of gay-oriented (but certainly not gay-only) blogs, it's only fair. And this IS celebrity news, since Jonathan Groff IS an actor and this IS a new show. So relax and put down the Hatorade

Hopefully someone will actually think of having a multicultural cast unlike other series set in major cities about a group of friends, ie, Friends, Sex and the City, Girls, Queer as Folk, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, etc. It's almost embarrassing as an American that we don't choose to represent our diverse cultures.
You idiots, 9 out of 11 comments - about what? Jonathan Groff is so gorgeous, talented, sweet and just amazing, I wish I could ever see him in person. Sucks to live on the other end of the planet. Hope the new series will be something good, he needs real success.
